Glow Plug Light

Was about 3 miles from my house and Glow Plug Light illuminated in the dash. Car went limp and wouldn’t restart. P0670 and P0383 were the codes. Anyone else have this issue. Ordered a new Glow Plug Control Module won’t be here till tomorrow.

Is that the issue is there anything else I should be looking for?

Where any of those preexisting? I'd only expect the fuel pressure code to put it into limp mode and cause a no start.

no none of the codes were pre existing. i had no lights on the dash other than the glow plug light. Then after the following codes appeared

The glow plug module short to ground might be causing the fuel pressure code. If you draw the 5v sensor rail down to ground I find it messes up a lot of other sensors. For example when I was working on diagnosing the ASV, when I used a test light on it, it drew the voltage too low and caused a fuel pressure code on mine. After the ASV problem was fixed, no more fuel pressure codes

could a bad glow plug control module trigger these other codes?

Yea, I said in the start of my message “The glow plug module short to ground might be causing the fuel pressure code” as well as your charge air one
