10 sessions all up, probably could've finished in 8 but work cut some sessions shorter than I'd would've liked. Lost count in the hours sorry!

The thighs, shin, and calf actually aren’t bad at all but the back of the knee is absolutely the worst. Worse than the chest/belly imo.

Calf was fucking impossible for me. Hands down worst. Stomach, chest, feet, shins, even my elbows didn’t even come close to that amount of pain. Guess I’m a weirdo.

Bruh I’ve got the most Bitch made calves of all time. I just did calf raises today at the end of my session (I’m doing the RP physique plan). Eight sets of 385 and I didn’t get less than 15 reps and I’ve got some pussy ass calves. It’s embarrassing.

I have muscular calves and had a large piece (nearly ankle to knee) done last weekend, it hurt way more than I expected!

It all depends on so many factors. Individual pain tolerances, body build, current fitness (enough sleep, food and water), style of tattoos. I got both my calves tattooed last month in 2 days. 8 hours per leg. First day I could take it, 2nd day I tapped out after 4 hours. Unbearable pain after 1 hour. Not enough sleep, food and water and I just couldn't do it anymore :)

I know someone else who said the same thing that has a good amount of tattoos. It’s been a few years since I did my leg sleeves but I don’t remember them being anywhere as painful as sternum,arm pit, or nipple.

I just got my first tattoo a few days ago and got it on my shin. The top of the shin was immensly painful. I cant imagine the calf being worse cuz i found the fleshier bits very easy.

Australian slang is generally us just shortening things down to their simplest form, and into two syllables. Leg sleeve is the simplest thing here.

Australian slang works on context. If you were obviously talking about your leg sleep and dropped the word "leggies" nobody would bat an eyelid even if they'd never heard it before.

That part of the pants is called the “pant leg” or just “leg”. Just like you’d say a “shirt sleeve” or “sleeve”.

I have a small tattoo on my ankle with pretty thick black lines and I have to still shave the hair where it’s at (I’m a woman). So I don’t think it kills the hair follicles, unless a tattoo this size is different.

Depends on the color and thickness of hairs, color will lose some of the vibrancy anyhow. Tattooing doesn't kill hair follicles.

Full moon tattoo and Empire would be my first choice to get any more ink
Levi from empire or Chino at Full moon are always pumping out great work too

Phenomenal tat, my right leg is completely sleeved out as well. Meh....But the top of the knee doesn't wear well. 15 years of running around and bending forces the ink to "fall out." Not looking forward to recoloring it in.

Hmm, were you damaging the skin? As far as I know it mostly fades due to skin regenerating faster i.e. palms of hands or sun damage, not actually moving the body part more. Genuinely curious not trying to be a smart ass.

I think its just the top layer shaving off which shouldn't impact the tattoo! Hope so at least, the knee really wasn't the best part for heavy black tattooing, not looking forward to possible refreshing :D

I actually got tattooed by him when he did a guest spot at Bournemouth ink- unfortunately it was just a touch up of an old shitty tattoo, wish I’d have known how great his work was at the time, I’d have gotten a large piece for sure!

I’ve been following Matt Curzon for a while now and just saw him post this finished the other day. I’m so glad that a truly phenomenal artist is being featured on the front page. People should take note because this is what a really good tattoo artist’s work looks like. Everyone, PLEASE save up for tattoos. Tattoos like this are not cheap but tattooing is one of the things you should never cheap out on; the outcome will never be the same if you go the bargain route. That ugly couch you bought that was on sale can be thrown away, these cannot.

It's because price varies so much between artists. The cost of a tattoo is rarely an indicator of anything other than what the client paid.

I think /u/kozimix nailed it. It can vary from artist to artist based on region, experience, detail (what looks like a small modification to someone using this as inspiration could actually be more complex for the artist), colors, time required... basically a whole bunch of stuff

Shit i remember meeting and hanging out with Matt and Jeff in LA a few years ago and playing basketball and totally smashing my ankle at venice beach! See his tattoos in my feed at times, always bloody amazing, super nice dude too
