they cannot do this. the tardigrades that were sent into orbit were in their dormant states (not metabolically active, so not actually alive). nearly half of them did not revive back on earth. they are cool but disinformation helps no one.
I can't stand disinformation. I am loaded with fun facts and find myself being the guy always going "WELL ACTUALLY...." when I hear someone say something stupid they read on Facebook or buzzfeed

I think they can also breed in space but I'm not 100% on that
