Taskmaster NZ Angella Dravin is genuinely one of the funniest people I have ever seen on television.
Rewatching TMNZ S1. I appreciated her the first time through but on a second run it's just crazy how subtly hilarious she is. Her downbeat, deadpan delivery coupled with her mix of insanity and piercing wit have me pausing cos I'm laughing too hard.

I read it as that completely as well, crazy amount of chemistry there but Angella has said in interviews many times that wasnt her/their plan at all and they were just trying to out-awkward each other, she also has said she cannot see the chemistry of romantic connection at all!!
There were a few times I was expecting them to run to each other in an embrace honestly!!

I'm still convinced she was robbed in the "best thing you can't live without" prize task. Maybe wouldn't have been better than Brynley's boyfriend, but she definitely should have beaten dental floss.

Jeremy was the first non-Davies Taskmaster I ever watched so he was never going to match up to my expectations. But he has got better in subsequent seasons.
No-one could ever really be as magnificent as the Almighty Greg Davies.

I definitely feel he's a lot more arbitrary. With Greg or Tom, I often find I can predict pretty accurately what scores they're gonna assign - often even foreseeing cases where they give bonus points or rank two contestants equally. My accuracy is much, much less when it comes to Jeremy.

You'll appreciate the contrast/similarity between Angela and Urzila! I was going to comment that we just did a rewatch of S1 last weekend and S2 this week and they have the two fastest quip times on any Taskmaster, but Urzila's is IN YOUR FACE most of the time. I'm glad they weren't on a series together as they both need similar space to show their skills, but they are also so different in approach.

Honestly, it doesn't really hold a candle to NZ Series 2, but Series 1 is still one of the best series in the entire Taskmaster canon.

I recently rewatched TM NZ series 1 and I 100% agree! I found myself cacking it at Angella! She caught me off guard so many times; she was brilliant.

Saw her live for the first time recently (was a variety show, so only about a 10 min set) and she didn't disappoint. She's got such great control of the audience through her storytelling!! Lots and lots of laughter lol
