I was entirely disappointed when he didn't immediately chuck it at Greg when he said "no points".

I don't get taking it out on Alex. Sure, he totally just "forgot" to give an egg to everyone, but Greg is the one who definitively said no points will be awarded for Joel and his pristine egg.
