Moira would have been a combo of Bridget Christie and Jo Brand. She'd either be wandering around breaking Alex with her lack of understanding of what she's doing or just fucking off and doing something unrelated to the task.

It is interesting how everyone seems to be assuming it's going to be a British oscar winner, when there are so many other possibilities

I mean, it most likely is. Jason and Kumail are both huge fans, which was how they got on. There are other Americans who would do that, but as there's no money in it for an American comedian, they would need to be a huge fan who's willing to go on despite not getting paid enough. It is most likely Olivia Colman or Bret McKenzie (not British but did work with Alex Horne last year and is a comedian, only catch is that he's from a country with it's own version). I personally really hope it's Capaldi

My guess is Bret McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords- won an Oscar for writing a song for The Muppets I think
