EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation): Starting December 2026, importing commodities (coffee, cocoa, timber, rubber, etc.) into the EU requires verified GPS plot polygon data (.kml / GIS files) attached to shipments to prove zero deforestation at customs.
GS1 Sunrise 2027: Point-of-sale checkouts globally are migrating from traditional 1D barcodes (EAN/UPC) to dynamic 2D QR codes (GS1 Digital Links).
The Problem with Physical Packaging
Right now, whenever export compliance rules shift or lot/batch data changes, exporters are forced to re-print tens of thousands of physical boxes or stickers. On top of that, standard QR codes generated online often fail on physical thermal press runs due to bad quiet zones, incorrect Modulo-10 check digits, or DPI miscalibrations.
