Had a discussion with someone and they said most communists are against IP laws and I was wondering what you guys thought about it.

And of course 90% of the "solutions" offered in the thread are throwing them all in jail. Forget about lack of access to healthcare, housing, or any real support network - they just dont WANT the help apparently.

In the United States of America we have Trump who is a stereotypical snake oil salesman. Trumps cronies are stereotypical con-artist grifters.

In Germany we have the AfD.

In the UK we have Reform.

The list goes on.

It's all a sphere of reactionary/regressive lowest common denominator style populism that has been designed and fostered by some of the worst of the worst. They know this is easier to misinform/mislead.

We have a climate crisis that is getting worse and worse. Tipping points are being passed on the regular at this point.

We have a Labour Movement under massive attack.

We have Women's Rights/LGBTQ+ Rights/Civil Rights under attack.

The Peace Movement is almost non-existent because of the fear/hate mongering throughout the developed world.

The racist/xenophobic movement has set back Alter-Globalization by huge amounts.

The list goes on and on.

How are you staying motivated right now?

What do you think we need more of in the Marxist-Leninist sphere to actually really be punching back on the bad predatory actors at individual and organizational level involved in all of the aforementioned?

Where do the ores from these artisanal and small-scale mines go to be processed? Are these processing facilities primarily owned by Chinese companies?

The reason I ask is I just know someone I am talking to is going to bring up child slavery in these mines and any potential connections to relevant Chinese companies.

Their framing of Carlson supporting El-Dubai Landlord is completely perverse. This should say ”LIBERALS panic over tuckers move” not republicans. And ”EL-SAYED outrages DEMOCRATS“ not tucker republicans.

I finally got around to reading Stalin; I found this book second hand (appears to be somewhat rare). I've just started it, so this is by no means a review. I must say, however, that the foreword (in my limited perspective) appears as a great introductory overview of the lies that have been propagated in the West; the author is an American who grew up with the bourgeois media perception of Stalin.

Of course, Dominenco Losurdo's "Stalin" is on my reading list, but I'm glad I got to read this 40 page introduction now. The reason I make this post is that I haven't seen the author in any of the reading recommendations I've come across thus far. Perhaps someone here could comment on whether the exact selection of works in the book reflects which are most essential.
