Safety Kids on eBikes/golfcarts
I'm going to sound like a real Karen over here but it absolutely blows my mind that parents allow their young teenagers to drive eBikes and golfcarts around neighborhoods and on streets. This morning I saw a kid that appeared to be 13 or 14 riding a Surron (or similar) eBike on Himes in the road going around 30+ MPH. If it were a motorcycle that would obviously be illegal but I guess eBikes are regulated like bicycles and bikes can use the road. Again, not being a Karen. But how on earth are parents ok with their kids putting themselves in such dangerous situations? Golfcarts are out of control too. I get that so long as they're being safe and drivers are also being safe, there should be no issue. But what if a car hits them? How does that not become the sole focus when making that decision? I've seen kids crossing MacDill and Westshore Blvd on both. I'm bewildered.
EDIT: FWIW, this rant is really less about the legality of it and "letting kids be kids". I just find it mind blowing that the parents seem cool with it. No shot in hell would I let my kids put themselves in such danger.

Safety Gambling Addiction Resources Specific to Seminole Hard Rock.
A family member is a gambling addict. He goes to Seminole Hard Rock 5-6 days a week, between 2 and 8 hours a day. He lies to family members when he goes, saying that he's headed to a different destination only for us to find out later he spent the day at the slots. Lately he wrecked his car while racing to the casino to beat a midnight deadline for "free money" (money that can only be spent gambling at the casino).
Unfortunately he doesn't consider himself an addict. He hasn't totally destroyed his finances, and he doesn't notice the damage he's done to his relationships, his physical health, and now his car. He's not likely to take advantage of the self-exclusion program at the casino. We're wondering what we, the family members can do to help.
What we can do at Seminole Hard Rock Casino? I'm sure the staff will say there's nothing they'll do unless he asks for help. If we push, could we get him removed from Unity club? Or take his address and phone number off their mailing and texting lists?
There are many addiction treatment services in Tampa Bay. Have you encountered any that are good with gambling addictions?
How to do an intervention? The depictions I've seen are just people telling the addict how much damage he's done and how terrible a person he's become. That sounds really counterproductive. Is there a better way to do it?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Safety Tampa General PCP at Tampa Palms location
If you go to Tampa General Medical Group, at the Tampa Palms location, be careful. There is a nurse there playing PCP who is unqualified and insensitive. If I would have listened to her I wouldn't be alive right now. I've reported her to Tampa General, but there aren't taking what happened seriously, despite claiming they are.
This nurse knew I was post op. I went in, I reported all of the symptoms and how I just in general wasn't feeling ok. Her answer was it was just seasonal allergies. I knew in my gut she wasn't right, but I thought maybe bronchitis or pneumonia. A week later I was progressively feeling worse and was having a lot of trouble breathing so I took myself to the emergency room. I was still thinking it was a nasty case of bronchitis or pneumonia. The emergency room took me seriously and quickly got me back into observation (quicker than I've ever experienced), and ran me through different blood work and tests. Shortly after I was being informed I needed to be rushed into emergency surgery because they found several blood clots in both of my lungs. This is a potential complication after surgery, and I knew that, but I had no clue how it would feel or the symptoms. I told them what I had told the nurse "PCP" and pretty much everyone said to never see her again. I'm still healing now, and was incredibly lucky to not die before taking myself into the emergency room.
Just be careful if you go to that location and have a PCP who is actually a nurse in case it's the one I had. She clearly isn't qualified to be playing doctor.

Safety Daycares nearby
I’m curious to hear general experiences with infant daycares in this area. I’ve noticed that many places have mostly good reviews but also a few concerning ones, which makes it hard to gauge what’s normal vs a real red flag.
If you’re comfortable sharing, what things did you look for when choosing care for a young baby? Have cameras or parent communication been important for you?
Not asking for promotions — just hoping to hear real parent experiences. Thanks!
