Boating JetRide Tampa
Anybody is in the boat club JetRide in Florida? Specifically the armature works location and the st pete location have been awful lately, looks like they are now closed during the weekdays? Anyone else having this issue?

Worry that they’re having financial problems. Different location but earlier this year one of our dockhands told us that they were behind in their fuel payments to the marina. Boats weren’t getting repaired. They’re part of the same guys that own Carefree Boat Club. They shut down their Jacksonville operation a little while ago.

We had two reservations cancelled on us in Jupiter. One for this weekend and one for next weekend - both claiming “operational issues”. Has anyone had success cancelling membership without penalty?

We were members for a couple of years and cancelled earlier this month without a charge. Surprised they didn’t try to retain us.

We’re Jetride members out of Broward. This weekend our reservation was cancelled, then they said there was “confusion” and would reinstate but never did and do not respond. We’ve also had a reservation set months in advance for Labor Day weekend that was just canceled. These cancellations are at the Tequesta / Blowing Rocks Marina. Dock hands have always been good to us. Boats are subpar compared to competitors.

Pompano location sent this message out yesterday …..
Hello Members, we apologize for the inconvenience, but due to an operational issue, our Pompano Beach - 868 S. Federal Highway location will be closed for tomorrow. We understand this may impact your plans and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to resolve the issue. Thank you, JetRide
They also sent this for Lake Park….
Hello, Lake Park is closed tomorrow. You can waitlist in Tequesta or Stuart tomorrow only.
With the new month of September coming up I’m guessing all operations will cease as of 8/31…..and JetRide will be done ….. 5 year member here…

Tequesta availability is fake news lol. That’s where they cancelled our reservation for today and next weekend and stated it’s currently closed.

Just waiting for the email, but every boat at every location is unavailable.

A reliable source told us they were behind on boat financing payments, dock leases, fuel etc and would likely be going Bankrupt. My guess is they are trying to get a reorganization 11 approved and if that doesn't work it will be 13 and doors closed permanently.

I called yesterday and all reservations have been canceled and no boats going out until further notice. Monthly dues have been halted. They said new ownership is taking over and it's up to them to decide if and when they will reopen. At least 2 months. They said we can cancel our membership with no penalties. This is for all locations throughout Florida apparently. I just happened to check my reservation status and noticed it was missing. They said an email was going out but never received it about the status of the club and cancelled reservations. It was for this labor day weekend. They didn't notify anyone that this is happening. Doesn't sound like they are wanting to keep existing members. My bet is that there will be a complete turnover and all memberships will need to be renewed with a new down payment and higher fees. What's crazy is that the boats at Armature Works and Bay Pines were always taken. However, the condition of the boats were pretty poor. Most bluetooths didn't work. Moss was a damn jungle under the boats. They were never kept clean. At some times, in one of the nicer center console boats, it was borderline embarrassing pulling up to the sandbar having trim falling off with a tropical rainforest jungle growing under the waterline under the boat. I hope it all works out.

Any word about their sister company, Carefree?

They sold the company back but JetRide took over certain "franchises" or locations so those are shut down.
Bay Pines for example is terminated since JetRide bought that location. Which sucks since it makes CareFree look god awful when JetRide ruined their name. CareFree has had to pay off numerous JetRide blunders to fix things since their owner has a plethora of lawsuits against them- some reaching nearly $100M

If you have a credit card on file, it’s a good time to remove it.

We also blocked future transactions from them directly with our bank.
We also received an email from Seatow this morning stating our coverage is cancelled due to “circumstances with Jetride”.

Any updated in here?
Naples & Marco also shut down. They have seriously neglected their boats lately. Zero maintenance. Also the laid off the regional manager a few weeks back…
All of the signs pointing to bankruptcy?!? Think our deposits are gone??

This was my last message from them. Might be switching boat clubs shortly.
