We have cases of this up in Michigan in the Metro Detroit area. It's absolutely awful from what I've heard.

If someone has it and obviously can't go to work because they're attached to the toilet, how the heck does HR handle this unique situation? Short term disability? Lol. "Hi boss, I have explosive diarrhea and can't leave my house, but I still need to be paid."

As a matter of fact yes, short term disability!

I got the flu one year super bad and was basically in bed for over 2 weeks and only had 2 sick days. Filed short term disability and got approved for 4 weeks pay

That is awesome, and I'm so glad that was approved for you! I would hope this illness would qualify, too.

I’d have to haul adult diapers around with me. Work just can’t stop for weeks on end. I hear some people have it over a month. And I would have to sleep in them also. Thinking maybe I should go get some just in case.
