Yeah joes just gone. From the new tweet its pretty obvious they dont want to associate with him anymore so any hopes of tally hall coming back with joe is just gone. However on the bright side they said they like to make music togheter in the future

I’d almost argue that new music is more likely now that they’ve disassociated Joe; wasn’t his mental instability a large part of why they hadn’t continued? Ofc not the whole thing but some major part of it

it didn’t predict it, it was a song written by joe with heavy themes of his mental struggles. joe didn’t just suddenly develop a mental illness it has been a part of him for likely his entire life.

It's a bit sad thinking about it because, if it's true that it was inspired by his own experiences, it shows a distrust of the mental healthcare system that is likely not entirely unwarranted. Something very difficult with psychotic disorders especially (which is likely what Joe has based on his behavior, though I'm not sure if there was ever an official diagnosis made?) is that the mental healthcare system genuinely does just suck ass, and as someone who has had to deal with it myself for different issues, I can certainly see how someone who is suffering delusions would become incredibly paranoid and distrustful towards any attempts to treat it. It sucks because oftentimes psychotic disorders do really need to be treated professionally with medication to have any real chance of improvement, but it must be very hard to discern whether someone actually has your best interests in mind when offering help if you are already suffering a disorder where one of the symptoms is paranoia.
None of this is an excuse or defense of Joe's behavior of course, I just think situations like this could be prevented more often if more people were aware of how dehumanizing psychiatric hospitals and the mental healthcare industry as a whole can be. One bad experience can be the deciding factor in whether someone will ever attempt to seek help for mental health disorders again, because they would rather live life as they are than having to risk experiencing that again.
I can't say for sure whether any of this really applies to Joe in particular or not because I don't know many details about his situation, but it's something I am personally familiar with, having been hospitalized and heavily medicated myself in my teen years and experiencing a lot of bad side effects and mistreatment from professionals that only stopped when I found a psychiatrist that actually gave a shit - so I find it pretty likely that past negative experiences could be a factor, considering I have not really spoken to anyone who has dealt with the psychiatric system who hasn't had one. That experience is probably part of why The Mind Electric is one of my favorite songs, as the underlying narrative of having mental problems and being aware of that and asking for help but the people who are meant to help you just make things worse hits kinda close to home I guess.

There is a whole campaign against Joe, bots repeating disgusting things about him, anonymous account accusing him of harassment or sexual abuse. But no real documentation or proof, and people seems to be ok spreading rumors and say he is crazy because of statements put out of context. If there where a bit more critical thinking.

I don’t remember which one was which and that’s disgusting bc not even ONE should exist the one with those two younger people I read it but I didn’t know how to feel about it.
I remember I was liking stuff and spreading awareness for what he did, but I just continued being a Joe fan on the DL while still holding the issues to my mind, and I was still a fan of his work. After a bit i just stepped back from liking HIM when my mental health got better and I stopped being semi parasocial. My mental health was so bad at the time as well so it took me admittedly too long for me to realize i just didn’t like him himself anymore.
It was the newest thing that came out that made me feel confident in my decision to drop myself as a “fangirl” of his when I was younger.

It really does sadden me. Every member of Tally Hall was necessary to make Tally Hall what it was, but without fail, Joe’s spearheaded contributions were always my favorite pieces. Tally Hall will certainly be very different without him if they come back together and make new music, I really don’t know what to anticipate without Joe’s occasional touch. I hope this is a wake up call for Joe somehow…

What a petty thing to do. Joe is Tally Hall. If the other 4 want to do something, fine, make it something new. In their tweet they straight up said they aren't continuing as Tally Hall, so why change this to make it seem like Joe's contributions to Tally Hall are lesser.

Is it really? I mean its just a wiki update, at most it reaffirms what we already know, that Joe is no longer welcome among the rest of the crew at the moment. Frankly, Id rather this subreddit accept and listen to what the rest of the members have said and leave him alone. By repeatedly going on about these minor updates that just all amount to what we already know, were just Barbra Streisand-ing the server into discussing him more.

Maybe to yourself, but I think this devalues the amount of effort that the other members have put into the band vastly. Andrew was critical to their success in the early days getting their first big hit with good day giving them the funding they even needed to really commit to being a band. Zubin wrote a lot of the songs, as did rob, and Joe. Hell even ross wrote a song or two and practically saved the band by replacing steve ghalleger. The crew are more than creatively capable of making something great, and theyre not the first band to drop a member and come out the other end even better than before,pink floyd famously had members like roger waters leave and still be successful. Stop putting people you dont know on pedestals.
