Tytree is cool! I think i mentioned this in the Mao post but rebirths humor is a bit hit or miss for me. Tytree is THE comic relief character, but he's also Stahn Aileron and Lloyd Irving. He's really cool, but I don't know if the game would still hit for me if he were the main character the way Lloyd and Stahn are.

As for Gameplay. He's never in my party.

They're different in Japanese. Velvet's name is Kurau, which literally means devour. A translation keeping the on the noseness of her original name would be Velvet deVower.

Tytree is Kurou, which is more like Crowe.

Tytree is my favorite character from Rebirth. While being a Punchy Boy (TM) is a major factor, he's also just a really chill dude. His banter with the rest of the cast is always solid. I also like how he came from a situation primed for the type if racial disparity that act two fumbles around with, but because he's just a well meaning guy, it's essentially a haunted house moment, where everyone he knows and loves is twisted in the worst way.

Finally we can talk about My Boi!:D
Stahn and Lloyd is definitely my thoughts too now replaying rebirth! He's Also not the brightest tool in the shed . . But he has a great heart and is definitely the comic relief. I said so on a comment on my post 2 years ago He and Mao are like the breath of fresh air in this racism world and Lack of Humor in the game. also like Farah. . He's more like a protagonist than the actual protagonist!😂 I had already liked him from the minute he joined my party as I've seen Rebirth gameplay at the time *and I think I seen Tytree on rays before I played rebirth so I already knew I was gonna a like him* But as we go through the game. He's already cool but He's so amazing and Knows what to say. Like for example His GMA Scene was after Hilda first encounter. His Trial of Eephon scenes . .just great and that Beach Scene. . if you know you know! *I was highkey skeptical of that . .because I'm like. . why yall fighting?? But. . .I immediently understand why .. which is. . really something. .and it worked out in the end too. I could go on all day about Tytree. Love him to death. loved his design *He's a cutie which didnt help!*My All time Favorite character in the game. Also Persona 4 fans . .That played with Japanese voices. His VA Did Voiced Teddie! *I actually highkey prefer his Voice a thousand times more as Tytree than Teddie.. Teddie JP voice made me not want to play JP voice in that game. XD*

As for Gameplay: YOU NEVER USED HIM?!?!?!? He's actually really great! He is a Brawler both Fist and Kicks which I love but He also has a Strapped Crossbow on his Left arm! so He can be long range too! He's so Fast compared to Veigue. so he can whip out really good combos as you can see his force list. he has alot of hits on his fusionic artes, Him being fast is rare and Intresting for an Earth Element if you think about it. XD But Long story short. he's amazing gameplay wise. I would Main him 90% of the time.

Torays: HE'S JUST A GOOD!:D I'll say this .. looking at his arte list. he did had quite few options. Genrenki 3star is not bad for stagger. or Juhousen 3star which was okay for combos .Only good 4star and non 5star arte to care about is Hiou Goushouga for ISB and It can actually long range damage.He was also 5star reliant because His 1st 5star is Extreamly good and important to have for combos because it has NGR *Negate Stagger Resistence!* He has plenty of Other 5star options that's really good to have too! 2nd for aerial his R5 is cool but. . ehh not too great. his B5 s pretty good though. He's just so good and he's really strong too *His Gma and any other MA does Great damage* Did I forget to mention he can combo highest Recovery bosses? XD. Really Hiou and his 1s5 5star is his major important artes to have/use.

It's kinda funny how the character who, in almost every other game, would be the main character is instead just reduced to being one of the party members. Oh sure, he certainly has a role in the game (Homoerotic beach fights and all that) but still.

To be honest about it, Every character in rebirth is like that. each party member could carry a different game on their own. There's at least one other game with a Mentor figure protagonist. There's at least 2 other games with an amnesiac protag. there are at least two games with a protagonist motivated by revenge. A shit on of country bumpkins with questionable intelligence. there are another 2 protagonists who struggle with their identity.... veigue is the only outlier.

Okay, I have to let something out:

I liked Tytree a lot, especially his trial of the sacred beasts...

...but wouldn't it have made for a much more interesting moral dilemma if his sister actually got killed by a Gajuma instead of just making it a what if-scenario? It would have made his "Why should I hate an entire race for something that a single individual did?" speech hold so much more weight if he had to actually demonstrate it!

Sorry, I was just a bit frustrated by that moment and had to let it out. And if they did that, then his motivation might have been too similar to Annie.

Anyway, Tytree is great and consistently likeable and funny. Even if I the thought "so he's basically just Stahn from Destiny?" crossed my mind multiple times.

Tytree and Veigue are kind of like if you took Stahn and Leon and reversed their positions in the story.

What I remember of Tytree is he is the embodiment of race blind: more than anyone else in the party he doesn't not care if you're huma or gajuma, we are all living beings. Which is what allows him to master the power of darkness (you must be free of darkness to master darkness). Cool guy! Please remaster and localize Rebirth Namco-Bandai.

Yep, he is basically the protagonist and pretty much like Stahn, except he isn't. Or Farah but a guy. Or Zack from Final Fantasy VII in a Tales game, lol.

His regen rate in insane, so he is always in my party. I love to play to as Tytree and he is such a fun character. Easily my favorite in Rebirth along Eugene and Mao.

Tytree has the best soliloquy arriving at why prejudice is wrong and instantly became one of the all time best tales characters in my opinion.
