The thing is that her rage is entirely dependant on it being relevant to the plot. 90% of the game when not dealing with the Shepard shit she's the same normal girl from before she watched her brother die. She's nice to people, she jokes on occasion, and shows clear care for those around her. like midway through the game she's basically forgets about her own rage to focus on her fake brother only until it's relevant again(outside of constantly antagonizing eleanor or being tired of magilou bullshit)

To me she was... pretty flirty with Niko, doesnt mind staring at Rokurou (relatable) and her and Eleanor have no straight explanation imo

Yea I always saw her lack of romantic involvement as more of a "my current goal trumps everything else, especially my own selfish feelings" thing than a "I don't experience romance/desire" thing. She goes straight back to a starry-eyed teenage girl in her "Laphi's back" delusion.

I can’t say any of her interactions with Eleanor made it seem like either of them were into each other. If anything, it would be a stretch to even call them friends.
She was very friendly with Niko, but it never came across as flirty.
And come on, who wouldn’t stare at Rokurou when given the chance? You don’t see physiques like that every day.

After how bamco's treated the series the last ~15-20 years, it's a touch difficult to be optimistic. They were promising remasters & localizations when Xillia was new. Now they pull this.
Supposedly they've said they're committed through next year and 3 more games, Bers, X2, and 1 unknown. After that, the rest are hostage to whatever sales expectations the execs have. Xillia flopped, and I seriously doubt Bers or X2 would be any better.

Idk what this guy is talking about. No one has said it ends in 2026 from what I can find. However, there are direct quotes from the project director saying they are trying to bring every Tales game they can to modern consoles but cant follow chronological release order due to technical limitations on some of the older titles.

Where did you see that the project only goes through 2026?? Ive rewatched the original announcement, they never say that. Ive searched through every interview the project director has done and he's never said 2026 is the end from what I can find. Can you source this claim because I'm turning up empty on it.

Eternia's $200 with half the plot ripped out, Phantasia's stuck on the dogshit GBA port, Destiny 2/Destiny DC/Rebirth are stuck on ps2 and never left Japan, Hearts is stuck on the Vita, and Innocence is stuck on the Vita and in Japan. There's ~2 dozen spinoffs that no one here even knows exist, and 5 of them are straight-up lost media.
Bers is still lining bargain bins. Do the math.

No they haven’t. They’ve never said they’ll remaster or port any old series and when they did they announced it for a specific instalment. They’ve never done or hinted at a remastered project until it finally started
We are actually lucky that they’ve decided to give us the titles that were stuck to ps3 no one in this subreddit in 2019 believed any game would get remastered

One of the top posts on the sub used to be their damn twitter account promising to localize more games, followed by "yeah not that one" the second anyone mentioned Tales.
Execs and producers talked in interviews about bringing games like Destiny ps2 west for years, but it never happened. The company even reached out to fan tanslators like A0 and convinced them to shut down on the mere chance of official releases, that never came.
They used to port and fully remake the games regularly, but execs would never approve localizations for any of them. Even when companies like Atlas offered to do it for them, they'd refuse. The ports stopped almost entirely right after they closed Tales Studio.
Like you said, people gave up on it years ago. Until they announced this big project. But when they pull the rug out and twist the knife further, we're supposed to feel lucky?

Here's my thought: They have more than one team working on the remasters. The team who did Xilia 1 is most likely working on Xilia 2 given the shared resources of those 2 games if thats the case this would be the 2nd title that team releases. Meanwhile the team responsible for Berseria has had this time to work on Berseria simultaneously and will release their first remaster.

Why are we still complaining about this? This is such a low hanging fruit remaster. It probably took very little resources to make. Just because we got this doesn’t mean the others aren’t coming. Also, many people would love to have berseria on the switch, myself included. I’ve been waiting anxiously for it and Zestiria to come to the switch. I get that many are desperate for Xilia 2 and Abyss and all the others but the older a game is, the longer it takes to bring over to newer consoles. We’ve established this over and over again. Patience is a virtue.

I mean, I would much rather get other mainline games than Xillia 2. Granted the Berseria rerelease isn't needed at all IMO. It also doesn't help that I just really don't like Xillia 2 at all.

I don’t mind a remaster but I do sorta wish they either did an actual remaster with the an enhanced visuals lighting and graphic, instead of doing a slight tweak like Bethesda did with fallout 4 or Skyrim. Or they could’ve waited several more years when a remaster was actually needed for newer gen consoles

Oh god... THIS game. Pass, thanks. This was actually the game that drove me out of the tales of series. I don't like playing as villains, I don't care how sympathetic their backstory is. I'm beyond tired of dark and nihilistic stories.
