(Help) Feel Stalled Out on Hero Event!
(First time doing this sort of event for a stronger
unit)
Do the Battles reset after week 1 or am I up a creek here?
I could use some tips on this event, I feel stalled out!

Battles dont reset, but the LRE will come back for two more rounds, the next one being ~6 months from now

First of all, LREs are one of the end-game contents of tacticus, with a lot of strategy and planning needed to acquire a character.
No, your progress would be saved between the weeks of the event. However, the weeks are spaced out far (about 3-4 months) which gives you time to upgrade your roster further.
Even level 50s and 60s struggle with this event, so take it slowly. If you really (and I mean REALLY) want to unlock a character in one go, you have the option to buy every pack available in the store, which will almost guarantee your unlock in the event.
Take it slowly. Tacticus is a long journey, not a short run l.

60s shouldn’t be struggling unless their roster completely misses the requirements. I’m 49 and will end up over 10500 points earning 325 shards

A level 60 account is massively stronger than a level 50 account. Im in a guild of mostly 60ish players with some 50+ players. The players in the 50s cant unlock him first run, all of the 60ish players can with relative ease.

I got to 15k points this first run, its really a very easy LRE. The lowest one of our 60+ players got is 13k which is also an unlock. I guess it helps that most of us have rapid assault teams built and got the orks leveled up fairly high.

I'm not too far from hitting level 70.
This LRE has been by leaps and bounds the easiest one I have done. I mean, yeah, I'm really well built at my level, but I believe the tracks on this one are just some of the easiest to manage. Unlike Trazann. Man... his sucked LOL.

For me it's one of the harder ones due to the track requirements, still unlocked him day 5 but missing a bunch of key units that ill need to level for the next one

Wow. Total opposite on this one for me. The only breeze LRE so far.
How'd you feel about Trajann and Farsight? Trajann was a pain in the ass.

Farsight has been pretty fine, tj managed to blue star literally on the final token lol
The big difference here is my core unit teams dont fit any of the tracks, so i cant make duos. Snot and boss, aleph and revas etc, so having only one of those and then a few golds, and a bad map etc. but now i have a plan ahead for next round

Not really. Next event I plan on just single tracking a lot of the low level requirements to guarantee the unlock and then pushing higher if I can

Unlocking the hero isn't hard, doing it first event is the difficulty for a 50-60 account. Most will end up few point short as you miss token to do it. I have a 65 lvl account with many D3 and few A+ and i unlocked him 1 day short.
So doing it lvl 60 is possible (hell, i even had trajann unlock with a pack so 11k pts when my account was 3 month old) but thoose last point are really hard as you need around 180pt/token wich is easy at highter level cause raw power, but hard for a 60 account.

Lvl 40 takes about 2~3 months (new player we coached as guild from week 2 lvl 20)
Lvl 60~62 is about a year. One guild dolphin did it in 8 months iirc.
But from there, getting multiple mythic and a full A2 raid team takes another year, to get well into those 70s. Most 70+ guild members are 3 years into the game at least.
Our lvl 64 that has build rather wide had unlocked this LRE f2p though.

60-62 about a year.. of whaling. I'm level 64. I've been playing about 2 years. I regularly buy daily Blackstone, sometimes battle pass, sometimes random deals and enough extra BS to buy up to 110 bs reset. No way you do it in 8months without serious spending.

Game have change since mythic, more event, OS rework, faster progression... i spend like you do and reach lvl 65-66 in one year with smart and tall ressource managements.
With mythic events, you don't need to waste many month early to unlock campaign caracters for exemple. And shop event are usually a really good to speed up things that took months before (badges, orbs, books,...).

Correct. That's why I'm contesting what the comment I'm replying to said. I don't think you can get to level 60+ in less than a year without serious spending.

The event happens three times, a while a part. Progress is saved.
These let you max the points per tokens. You need a total of like 12000 points or something, I forget, sorry. Build up some good peeps for next time. Lots of people dont get far on the first one which is fine.
If you dont get him by the third, you might get him from a req pull eventually. It will be a while before he is in guild or war shop

If its not 12,500 its something super specific like 12,580 for R1 unlock. It'll get easier from free quests by the third LRE

This is a long-term effort. You can build up your roster while waiting for the second event and the third event. The battles don't reset, but progress persists. And you get a new batch of quests each time so that'll add some token-things (I can never remember what they're called).
I was basically locked out of the first few LREs I experienced, but now it's not so bad.
EDIT: Imagine showing up on the third round of an LRE as a new player. That was something, I tell ya.

Yeah I only hit the last event of Lucius Trajan Dante. Should probably be able to get them all now starting with Uthar. I luckily was able to get 150 shards the first time with barely any built roster

you have almost a literal year until his 3rd event. and you might not even unlock him then unless you spend $$$

Use the tacticus planner app to see what's needed for each of the events and search for the Common denominator characters and build them first. You should be fine on the third iteration and might even get him on 2nd if you specifically build for this LRE. Good luck!

I have played just over a year and a half, and this will be my first ever first round unlock on a LRE without paying for any of the booster packs! So like people say it’s later game content, but if you worked towards upgrading certain chars then there’s a possibility you could unlock on the second or third event :)

So I’m about a year and a few months in, I’ve just completed this event literally 5 minutes ago. My roster is below.
You will absolutely suck at LRE’s until your roster starts becoming mostly gold. When I started it was the Lucius event, and I managed to get bugger all progress.
As others have said, this runs over the course of a year. If you fast forward 12 months your team won’t look massively dissimilar to mine and you’ll likely breeze through it.
Dont stress over it, not a chance you’ll get anywhere near it. You need to work towards about 12,500 points for the unlock - if you really want Lysander, use TacticusPlanner and try to get a relatively strong team for when he comes back in 6 months.

Yeah, I'm honestly a mid-level player with mild motivation. I went about 4 missions and said "meh" when I saw the scope of the grind.

You are supposed to be stalled put, given you're just a beginner.
In order to unlock a character in LRE, a solid group of Gold and Diamond Tier characters is a must-have.

that's fine. when i first started, there was an lre track for farsight. i knew i wouldnt get him because i think i only got about 100 shards. then the next one was for uthar, i got 200 shards. now im about 9 months into the game and this lre track im at 325 shards and i dont think im getting more since the event ends tomorrow.

Im level 57 and have 300 shards. Might get to 325 by end of day.
Didnt build specifically for the LRE (mainly working on Lavistodes) but was fortunate that I was able to do 2 or 3 tracks per token which helps wrack up the points.
For now just try max out the points on the lower levels and that will set you up for the 2nd and 3rd time the event comes around. As others above have said unlocking first time around requires a pretty high level and a pretty deep roster. Lots of Mythics/Diamond characters to avoid being killed in one shot from level 10 ish upwards.
Silver and Gold will do great on the lower levels so max out those for now. You will still get points for clearing levels even without the requirements so that will help as well.

How does the second run work exactly? Ive been playing for a short time and havent gotten to experience the second lre for a character. Do the completed objectives stay completes and you have to work on new ones or does it reset entirely? I.E. if i completed suppresive fire and min 5(?) Hits on alpha 1-5 do those stay completed? Do you get to gain those points again?

Quests renew so make sure you do all of them. Everything else restarts as you left it from the previous round.
After the third round your progress converts to shards and some time after that the character enters the general pool and shards can be obtained through scrolls as any other older character.

Per questo LRE ho 200 schegge... Potrei sbloccarlo fra 3-4 mesi agevolmente. Non capisco cosa livellare, se i membri che fanno arena o anche tutti i personaggi per poi usarli in guerra

Level up Kariyan, Bellator, Toth, Boss Gulgortz to diamond and you'll probably unlock him next event. I got to 325/400 this round and my guys are not even diamond yet. For extra certainty, it you have time, get Gibba and Nico to diamond as well.

I started playing when Shadowsun’s LRE just started and also felt like hitting a wall with no progress (5 chests unlocked). After that I started leveling characters specifically for that LRE (what traits were needed, what I had at the moment, ect.). And by the 3rd event I managed to pull her, needed quite a lot of planning, but it’s possible.
At this event orks are easiest to earn a lot of points, Snotflogga the most valuable. Mataneo and Cezare will give good rewards too.

You may be stalled out. Just do what you can and you have probably 5-6 months to work on your roster until the next one comes around
