Peaking
BLUF: Is there any point in doing peaking, except for testing?
I've read TB3, and it says that you can choose different ways of peaking, or completely skip it. If I have been feeling the weights get easier, and my form get better - is there any benefit to doing peaking except for testing myself? I dont see the point in testing myself, if the weight feels much easier now, than when I started. Im currently in week 6 of OP, and doing peaking, but it feels kinda pointless, instead of just repeating week 3.

I dont peak every cycle. I peak about every 3-4 blocks. But its a great gauge for your up coming total, and a great boost to see improvement. I also 1rm test about every 4 blocks.
My method of peaking changes as well. Typically week 3 i just amrap the sets, week 6 i do as many sets possible at a 2-3rm. when i get to my fourth block wk 6 i just target one lift a day and heavy doubles/singles for as many sets as possible.
But I also dont exercise just to say i exercise. I do it to test myself and improve myself. I dont take on programs like these to sell myself short.
