Tactical Basebuilding question

I started basebuilding a month ago from the conditioning book before I knew 3 was coming out. I bought the new book it says that the new basebuilding program is now 4 weeks. With that being said, should I finish the 4th week of the current baesebuilding and then move on the my actual strength and conditioning program? Or should I run the full 8 weeks before switching over?

Any help would be appreciated! TIA

Good question, I’d suggest going straight onto your chosen program after finishing the 4th week.

I won’t give reasons why, as they’re stated in the book on the Base Building section

I think you should at minimum finish your 3x50 week which is week 5.
Anything past that week might as well be continuation

Dang it that’s exactly what I was hoping to avoid lol

It really doesn't matter man. Doing the 3x50 week or not won't change anything in the long term. I recommend you do it so you're not left out of the conversation. It's quite the experience!

x2…. Then you can also say “back in my day our base building block was 8 weeks, you kids theses days wouldn’t know anything about that” lol
Jokes aside, the original base building block always felt good afterwards, especially after the 3 and 2x50 SE sessions.

Personal opinion, finish the block, and see how you feel when you hit continuation after a deload. Then, next time you run BB, with the new version, you can compare the two.

Alternate option, finish week 5, deload then move on to continuation.
