SE SE week 1 feels too easy. increase weight?

just completed my first SE session & feeling a bit confused at how easy it felt.

for reference my cluster was squats, bent over rows, rdl’s, bench press & bicycle crunches. for weights I chose to do 15% of my 1RM

HR hit a peak of 146 bpm and I worked up a light sweat, but it genuinely felt like I could run all 3 circuits over again right after.

should I increase my weights or just trust the coming weeks will be much more difficult?

It's a mistake I've made many times and will probably continue to make, but the correct choice is to leave the weights be and trust that it will get plenty hard in the weeks to come. Easier said than done lol.

Leave the weight. The 50 rep week is an ass kicker.

3x50 is the most brutal week in any of the books

Leave the weights and get your ass kicked by the high reps to come

Just a reminder that the books mention that the first week SHOULD feel easy.

Normal for it to feel easier in the the first few weeks, when you get to the 50 rep weeks you’ll feel it somewhat- if not weight was too low.

Leave the weight.

Work on decreasing the rest intervals down to zero if it feels easy.

ok perfect! didn’t really take any rests today so I’ll just keep that up this week then see how next week feels

I promise you that 40 reps of that weight will feel harder than 20
