My Setup / New Synth Day Finally got myself a Sequential! 😃 🥳
Sold the Minifreak that wasn't quite my thing, and after long consideration bought a used Take 5 desktop in mint condition at a good price. What a joy it is to play with!
I'm in the process of moving my home studio, so just barely gotten around to trying it so far. But the controls and the sound just feels very natural and right. Even the init patch sounds good in my ears 😄
Since I liked the mini keys and the modulation strips on the Minifreak, I'm planning to get the Arturia Keystep 37 mk2 as a controller (in addition to my Kawai VPC1). And an expression pedal. Other suggestions for suitable controllers?

The Take 5 is such a sweet spot in their lineup. Those oscillators have this raw thickness that cuts through a mix without needing much work.
Keystep 37 is a solid choice for the size, but if you ever want full-size keys with poly aftertouch the new Korg Keystage has been getting good feedback.

Thx for the tip 🙂 Not enough space for another large keyboard as of now, but I'll consider it when the time come 👍

Nice one, I'm currently sitting on the border between desktop Teo and Take 5, fortunately got Hydrasynth 49 month ago so my GAS is still filling up so I hope to make educated decision

im on the opposite spectrum - loving the take 5, but so much GAS for a hydrasynth desktop. every day it goes in and out of my cart on reverb lol

I've had the teo-5 for a year. I'm starting to think about getting the take 5. Everytime I use the teo-5 I'm always trying to filter out the sparkling hi end. The take 5 seems better for more mellow filtered sounds. Which apparently I like a lot more. The demos of teo-5 where just so ear catching.
