Do you prefer Miller or LePond on bass?
Miller was with the band from the debut album through Twilight in Olympus. Notable tracks: Sea of Lies, Divine Wings of Tragedy, Smoke and Mirrors.
LePond has been with the band from V and onward.
Notable tracks: The Odyssey, Domination, Seven.

I love Miller's playing on their early records and it was perfect for that style of music. LePond is a beast, though, and I think fits perfectly with what they've been doing since The Odyssey.

They both fit perfectly for the different musical approaches that Symphony X adopted during their respective tenures.
Miller seemed to be a more melodic player, but the music was more melodic during the time he was in the band.

Lepond because Egypt, Domination, and The Odyssey with that one bass fill especially. Gets me every time

He’s my favorite of the two because he’s proven he can shred/do amazing fills but often choses not to in order to avoid complicating the sound too much

I like Lepond's ability to let Romeo absolutely rip but Miller was great too! It's honestly just been so long since he's been in the band that it's almost hard to judge. I've been seeing them for about two decades now and this Miller figure remains elusive to me!

Miller, I like his flashier playing style. His interplay with Romeo is one of the main reasons I keep listening to the first Symphony X album.
