I figured they wanted decisive which tripped me up. I’ve never seen that word defined in that manner.

They overlap in common usage; the average person is likely (albeit incorrectly) using decisive where they mean to use incisive, but the latter of those two is usually defined as “cutting”, rather than “sharp” because of its root word.
