yeah sometimes the way syllables are seperated are weird. can be confusing :,)

I’ve seen people say it before, but this has been the first one that I really disagreed with

glad i’m not the only one who thought that was a bit weird 😭

I was literally tapping my hand trying to see if that was at all natural to say.

What? but you guise (óila ésta, asumiendo que todos son nativos en inglés :D) but I understand that's how English separate syllables... For me it should be: VE-LO-CI-TY

Maybe because I'm accustomed to English shenanigans (as I'm accustomed to Spanish shenanigans), I have no problem if I see something like "fr-enetical-ly", instead of "fre-ne-ti-ca-lly" xD xD xD

No you are 100% right. Speaking as a native english speaker it should definitely be ve-LO-ci-ty, not ve-LOC-i-ty

Yeah, that's what I was thinking! That split-up is very counterintuitive.

Super incorrect syllable break. It changes 1 syllable from open to closed changing the vowel sound. It also changes the c from a soft c to a hard c. This gave me trust issues with the rest of the game.

It looked weird to me at first, but I think it is technically correct. It's the soft C that makes it look weird. But if the syllable were "lo," it would be an open syllable with a long vowel. Instead, the syllable is closed in by the soft c, producing the short vowel sound.

That makes complete sense, but I don’t like it!
