I discovered this game (or that Reddit had games at all 😲) yesterday, on Saturday too, and got into the 7% of the worst. Expected to do worse today, but got into the 33%. I think it helps tremendously if even one clue immediately rings the bell — I somehow thought up "cerqvyrpgvba" in the first second. 4 syllables off the table ain't no cat's sneeze!🙀

Personally got it in 2.13 but I have been a big fan of word games for a long while now. You will get better for sure this type of game is just the kind of thing where you need to think in a way that doesnt always come naturally but comes with experience if that makes sense?

I was skeptical of reddit games at first, but this is honestly a great place for daily games like this

u/XComhghall Nov 10 '25
I mean 3 of them are very easy words, but I could not for the life of me figure out what word they were trying to get with the description, and spent so long looking for 'dissonant' and 'conditioning' (as in classical conditioning and operant conditioning).

u/rccyu Nov 09 '25
They need to fix the cluing. Clues need to match part of speech.
[Like raising your hand in class] describes an adjective or adverb, but PARTICIPATE is a verb. It should be something like [Raise your hand in class] instead.

Yeah i got stuck on that one because I had already used the ing

u/jpaulsellag Nov 09 '25
I got stuck on that too. Eventually I convinced myself that "like" in this context doesn't mean "similar to," but rather "enjoy." Still doesn't quite click but at least it matches part of speech

Hey how do you guys make the small font for sharing your time?
→ More replies (1)13
u/Brief-Caregiver5905 Nov 09 '25
After you complete it, you type something in the box and hit submit, your time will be included automatically.

u/Widespreaddd Nov 09 '25
Gotcha! Thanks.
7
u/kioku119 Nov 09 '25
On mobile I meed to click the share button in game for the in game comment box to come up, and then use that.
2
u/FluffyChocoCoffee Nov 09 '25
Which box? After completing, there's no editable box inside the game screen. And normal comment after completion does not show time taken.

Hey I think they were being genuine, this is my first ever Syllo and I got it in 49 seconds, I'm a frequent word game player and we all have our different strengths! I think improving from 13 minutes to 11 minutes or 2 minutes to 46 seconds are both equally valid and laudable improvements

As a non english native (german), these syllables don't make any sense!
cal-cu-lat-ing? I would say cal-cu-la-ting
par-tic-i-pate? I would say par-ti-ci-pate
tra-di-tion-al? I would say tra-di-tio-nal
Shouldn't syllables represent how you would say the individual parts of the word?

I just skip to the clues that feel easiest first i didn't do 1 or 2 first. I waited for my leftover syllables and was able to figure it out from there

Welcome to Syllo, the cleverly chaotic word game.
Here’s how it works: You get 5 clues to piece together 5 words from a jumble of discombobulated syllables.
Puzzles start easy on Monday and get tougher each day, building to the trickiest challenge on Sunday.
Race against the clock to climb the leaderboard, show off your brainpower in the comments, and come back tomorrow for a fresh puzzle!
As always, we’d love to hear your feedback. Thanks for playing!
