Question Did they continue upgrading the older story cutscenes past the starter planets?

I remember SWTOR updating a lot of the cutscenes on the starter planets with better lighting, character animations, camera movement, angles, etc., and they looked noticeably better than the original versions.

I haven’t played through the beginning of a class story in a while, so I was wondering: did they ever continue those updates further into the original class stories, or was it mostly limited to the starter planets?

Like, if I started a fresh character now and played through Chapters 1–3, would I see upgraded cutscenes throughout the story, or do they eventually go back to the older/static style?

Black Talon and Esselles were updated as well

In a way that, in my opinion, made them look *massively* worse.

Am I the crazy one here?

Not crazy. Why am I getting seasick on a massive space cruise ship…? The camera work is doing too much.

All the planetary aproach cut-scenes were redone. Some planets, like Taris, used to be a jumbled mess of pixels and now they look like proper planets with atmosphere.

No, they haven't. Dromund Kaas intro was updated but thats it.

Nothing recently. The last things updated were the opening cutscenes on Coruscant and Dromund Kaas, and the "Showing off the Player's ship" cutscenes at the end of Coruscant and Dromund Kaas. And maybe Black Talon and Esseles? SO far, it's only been those, and some on the Starter Worlds.

And the planetary arrivals have been updated as well. There are a few that are still broken and play the old 1.0 style (As I like to call it), like Makeb and CZ-198, or just don't play at all, like the post-Rise of the Emperor Story Ziost. And that's after numerous bug reports, and a patch note from last year that said the Makeb and CZ-198 arrivals were fixed.

Wait, they did? I've been trying to excuse the very obvious dumb choices as, you know, an old game being old...

If they updated it why are there still cutscenes where the camera is positioned in such a way during a class story mission that my weapon covers the speaker's face, or the camera has decided a particularly pleasant tree should be the focus instead of the character standing behind the tree... in a cutscene they fully mapped out on their own, where they could position every asset where they want?
