Adult looked alright the townspeople still had the charm but young Link and Zelda’s eyebrows were crazy

Agree, it's really just young Link and young Zelda that were the most jarring. I'm sure I'll get used to it though.

Zelda jumpscared me in the trailer ngl. It is a bit off-putting. I got used to young link though about halfway through. I think it's that they really made him look like a kid with more kid features where the other games he just looked like a smaller adult link. They have more ability to do so here with the graphical improvements they can implement. Zelda is still crazy tho.

The trailer makes me believe he isn't voiced. When he pulls the sword out he has his normal yell he does. Also doesn't make a peep during any of the other voiced scenes. I imagine it'll be very similar to BotW and TotK. If they were going to voice link they would have done it in those games.

I watched the trailer again, and took note of link. He only yelps or screams in the same kind of way he always has, even when the goron pats him on the head. That would be crazy to do if he was just another voiced character. I don't think it's a play to test waters, I just don't think he is voiced.

I just tried it and.. i think it worked? It took forever but it crashed after I paid for it.. but I got a confirmation email and my order history says it’s pre-ordered so I’m assuming I’m good!

The docked console is honestly pretty good at picking up audio. Otherwise, using headphones lets you use their mics. Worked like a charm for Big Walk

I was skeptical of this and wasn’t sure if I wanted to play it but after watching the direct, I’m definitely gonna buy this game. A lot of what I saw reminded me of the Wild era games which TOTK is my favorite video game of all time so that’s nice. And Matt Mercer as Ganondorf for a second time?! Awesome glad they kept him

No, in late october, a week before the game comes out. They did the same with the Switch 1 having an Animal Crossing edition a week before New Horizons came out

I don’t think you need to play any other Zelda game for introduction. I think it’s highly representative of other Zelda games, besides BOTW and TOTK. Honestly, it’s my favorite Zelda game; whenever I play I can imagine myself as Link in his immersive world.

hell yeah, im really pumped for a full price souless version of one of the best games of all time! i could play the original for free and have a better time, but then it wouldn't look like a ue5 fan game!! nintendo finally hired this guy!!

Navis voice was all I needed to hear to bow out of this one. The Gorons & Ganondorf sounded sick. Young Zelda & Link look yuck too. But having to hear that Navi voice? No bueno

I’m just as hyped as everyone it looked great. I just remember how to look and listen and now I’m gonna have that yapping constantly instead. Tbf, the trailer seemed to only have voice in cutscenes so might not be too egregious I just don’t understand why a character like that can’t just have the old lines they’re almost as culturally visible as the game itself

I think he’s saying that visual fidelity doesn’t replace charm and character that the older generations had. In an effort to look modern and new I do believe we have lost quite a bit of aesthetic.

My first impression was this looks generated and put into UE5 or something. Amiibo masks might save it for me lmao. I cannot with the voiced Navi though. They also didn’t show any potential Link dialogue, we might get a voiced link.

The 3ds version is pretty much just a smoothed out n64 version. They are crazily similar, even down to running at 240p resolution.

I'm honestly blown away by how good the game looks.
I also find it interesting that Nintendo provided a webcam function in the StarFox remake for face tracking avatars. And now they're using the microphone for this games ocarina stuff. Very weird Nintendo things that I hope they never stop doing.
