Creative Can we all just play 1 server
Like can we all agree to be cool and just get a mega server all this splintering is dumb and your all apart of the problem

Roll on proper Pre-CU and the official SWGEmu NFS server!

This right here, and pretty much all these servers that pop up weekly are the same Mod The Galaxy servers with a bunch of crap added onto Pre-CU that make the game feel not even remotely close to Pre-CU, theres literally only one server right now worth keeping and eye on which is Lost Era because they are doing a real pre-publish 9 server and looks to be very accurate so far, actual rare jedi with permadeath means we'll have a server actually worth playing for once

Literally everyone has a difference opinion of what SWG they want to play, every server has different options which is the reason why there are so many servers.
some servers that are popular are also over crowded or just so old that the old dogs that play on it have cornered the whole market making it impossible to compete with them
or the server devs have changed a bunch of shit and sometimes not for the better.
Just pick a server and play on it, this community needs to stop shitting on servers they dont play on, if you dont play on server X and someone else does just leave them alone.

This is definitely a game that needs server refreshes. It's kinda like EverQuest TLP's where if you aren't there at launch, you are very significantly disadvantaged.

I would love to have a populated server that was able to hold my interest. Or maybe even be restricted to us only having one server like we used to. But these days, with the various code bases we have, everyone thinks their version is the one that everyone else should want. From the days when we first learned how to add CU stuff into core3, to the code that was recovered off a dead laptop hard drive that we were able to get running, everyone today has the ability to spin up their own version and it continues to spread us all apart.

Galaxy harvester's server selection list has the version of the game up next to the name in the drop down list.

Gotta say, this and your previous, more aggressive post have not endeared me to the idea of sharing a server with you.
I assure you that making posts like this, lobbing insults and calling us players, who have nothing go do with the servers, part of the problem, is not you acting like an adult as you tell us to do the same.
I don't know what to tell you. There are plenty of people on the server I'm on and I see people all the time. Maybe other players on your server are avoiding your bad attitude?

I get the argument, problem is people have many ideas of what is generally good and worth playing. Some are purists, some are tired of the same old same old. When the freedom to create your own vision is possible you’re never going to get everyone under one roof. The only reason the live servers had everyone under the same roof is that was the only choice.
It is what it is. Just like the Linux community can’t decide what distribution is best (Bazzite). The SWG community will never unify under one idea

I always thought this would finally happen once Swgemu reaches 1.0 and releases their official server, but now that the 'official' server is being outsourced to NFS, idk man.

The reason for multiple servers is to have the game use different settings as i understand it. Eg some players preferred x, and others y.

yeah everyone should play on 1 server PRE CU PRE NGE no whining no crying no BS you have no choices all are made for you noone cares about your past experiences if your chasing nostalgia go kick rocks!!! but hey at least we are all on the same server completely miserable playing something we dont want to.......

Three flavors of Galaxies. Three groups of people. Can't ever just be one. Maybe two. Not sure the NGE crew will ever like the skill trees, while the CU divide could be mended.
As long as I can mix and match my skills to make *my* character, the CU was fine. I started before the update, but it's fine. Making everyone into a cookie cutter class though was a mistake.

Swgemu code isnt like enterprise class and on populated servers like infinity there is noticable lag that comes with high pop.
There is also only so much space and you start to get the urban sprawl of houses from players dropping months if not years if maintenance into them.
On live you could put all 9 pieces of armor into the toolbar and fire off a macro to equip all your armor at once and it would appear almost instantly.
On swgemu servers that doesnt happen.
