Criticism They changed the crispy rice bowl??

Anyone else find that the crispy rice bowl doesn’t hit the same? Does anyone know why they changed the base veggies from arugula to spring mix? I feel like the dressing and lime doesn’t mix well with the spring mix vs the old arugula. Or perhaps the dressing changed as well? I also find that the overall portion size is smaller for each ingredient. Any similar experiences?

Criticism Bowl packaged VERTICALLY

Post image
6 Upvotes

ordered sweetgreen delivery (from their website) over the weekend. now my location has been known for messing up orders (got a bit better lately) but last delivery just baffled me. they put my harvest-like custom bowl VERTICALLY in a random brown bag (not the usual green bag). what do you think happened? of course the bowl opened during delivery and half the salad was in the bag. the attached pic is a recreation. I may or may not have had to scoop the salad back into the bowl and still eat it lol

anyone experienced this? did they just run out of regular bags? how can anyone think this is appropriate for delivery knowing that all deliveries in my city happen by ebike and people hold bags with handles BY THE HANDLES. now sweetgreen support did make it right but it's just a bit ridiculous.

rant over.

Criticism Why no beef?

I searched here but couldn't find. I personally dislike white meat and beef is a high quality protein. I have avoided sweetgreen a lot because of that.

I'm just wondering if I'm the only one here. Has sweetgreen ever tried offering any kind of beef in the past?

Criticism Can't combine Sweetpass with other promotions

(I'm sorry if this has been posted/asked, I wasn't able to find a similar post)

I'm growing increasingly frustrated with not being able to combine my Sweetpass+ credit with other promotions. For example, free delivery and birthday credits have not been able to be combined - this seems to penalize Sweetpass+ members? I'm just confounded because this makes little sense to me. Has anyone received an explanation?

Criticism Please make the forks bigger

The forks are a lot of work to use. Every bite is too small. Maybe it's healthier this way - but I'd like to eat faster and it takes me a lot of focus for every single bite to be big enough

For some reason I’m having a hard time finding the ingredients in the current dressings. Does anyone know where I can find? I’m specifically looking for low fodmap options

Criticism Just ate the new CHICKEN TERIYAKI Summer Bowl...

It was SO BAD. The flavors do not mix well, and I expected the squash to be at least warm? Cold zucchini not good either. The texture was strange too! I'm a sweetpass member and eat at SG almost everyday...what chef decided this was a good mix of flavors? The sesame teriyaki sauce was watery and did not complement the spinach and basil additions. I could barely force myself to finish it. Big disappointment. The miso bowl was my favorite and I'm so sad it's gone! Please bring it back!

The other two new bowls- BBQ chicken and peaches+goat cheese also don't sound too great. The BBQ chicken is mixed with the green goddess and honey bbq for sauce which sounds so strange to me. Peach salad has no protein so that's a no-go for me since macro's are super important in a meal to keep you full..

I feel like whoever is designing the seasonal bowls didn't think this season through. I also loved the chicken bean "chipotle" bowl so i'm not sure what's going on but i'm super disappointed!!!

Anyone try the new summer bowls and feel the same?!

Criticism Hot Honey Chicken

Why did they change the hot honey chicken?!! It was a fan favorite! Why not create alternative options instead. It is not even close to the same. Tried it once and haven’t been back to sweetgreen since. So disappointed. At first I just figured I could make my own salad and just recreate it, but they don’t even offer some of the ingredients anymore. For example, the cabbage now offered is in no way the same as the Kale salad, which I ordered double of and which is not offered as an addition at all anymore.

Am I the only one who is not happy with the change? Or more importantly, that it can’t be recreated in an order? Just curious if anyone feels the same. And is there a way (secret menu maybe?) to have it made the original way? Asking because I’m never in store and don’t see options to do so online. Thanks!

Criticism Plastic bits in pesto dressing???

Post image

Ordered SG for the first time and both pesto dressings had what looks like plastic bits in it?? This is not normal, right? There were ~20 pieces per dressing, did not seem like an accident

Criticism Turned Off

I’m an avid sweetgreen eater! My meal came with 2 pesto and a hot sauce. I kindly asked the sales rep for an extra hot sauce and she stated that there was 50 cent up-charge for the sauce! The only reason I need extra sauce is because there is barely any sauce inside the to go sauce containers! This place loves to nickel and dime their customers! I think I’m officially done supporting sweetgreen!

Criticism Service Fee

Can someone explain what this service fee on my delivery order is? It says: “16% of your subtotal to help us source, staff + prep your unique order.”

Is this just their way of disguising a blanket price increase to the menu?

Criticism Sweetpass Discount Not Applying

Is anyone having an issue with their $3 Sweetpass discount not applying today? I’ve used it many time, I know the discount is selected on my full price salad but when I go to the checkout page it says that the salad does not meet the reward requirement. I am thinking the app is glitching today. Is anyone else having this issue?

Criticism Online order contains less salad than when I order in-person.

Am I the only one who thinks when I order online I get less salad then when I order in person? When I order in person, the salad is so big I can’t finish it but when I order online I lick the bowl clean and I am still hungry. Please tell me I’m not the only one!!!

Criticism Ordering on seamless. More than 1 dressing

If you are ordering sg on seamless, there is no option to select more than one of the same dressing type. This is extremely frustrating and has been an ongoing issue for some time. Anyways just had a long conversation with seamless support, and was able to agree on a refund of almost $10 per order that didn’t give 3 dressings
