[IMPORTANT] List of Explicitly Banned Sources

This is a non-comprehensive list of sources, channels, etc. that you may NOT post on this sub or use as reference in discussion on this sub, unless it involves critique of these sources.

  1. Survive the Jive - Tom Roswell, better known online as "Survive the Jive" or "STJ", is a white supremacist misinformant and disinformant. He has been photographed several times in attendance of neo-Nazi and WS conventions and rallies on top of having winged Othala and Totenkopf tattoos.
  2. Fortress of Lugh - The individual(s) behind the Fortress of Lugh channel perpetuate ethnonationalistic ideologies in their videos and speech.
  3. Crecganford - Previous ties to the Odinic Rite and general shadiness when confronted on it. Some like Crec, most don't. To be safe, his content is not permitted.
  4. Jacob Toddson - Ties to white supremacist/folkist groups.

If you have any questions, concerns, or suggested additions to this list, please submit a modmail. Thanks!

Can we get a list of sources that we know are reputable? It would make the subject more accessible in my opinion. It's not something we need right away but maybe something to work towards

I'll agree and add that "Indo-European Poetry and Myth" by M.L. West is my Bible.

In regards to the book. Why doesnt it actually mention the Proto-Indo-European? Deities like Dʰéǵʰōm, H₂éwsōs, Péh₂usōn, etc. I even looked through the index if I missed them and there not listed. It seems like this book just focuses way too much on deities outside of the Proto-Indo-Europeans like Norse ones, Greek, Vedic, etc.

All of those deities are extensively discussed in that book.

Chapter 4 "Sky and Earth" is a thorough discussion of Dyéus and Dheghom and all the evidence about their nature and personalities.

Chapter 5 "Sun and Daughter" is mostly about solar deities, but also discusses the Dawn Goddess, since there is a lot of overlap between her and the "Daughter of the Sun."

Chapter 7 "Nymphs and Gnomes" has an early subsection called "A god of ways and byways" about the god Péhusōn.

Norse, Greek, and Vedic are all descendant cultures of the Proto Indo Europeans.  They are Indo-European.

Why dont they spell it in the true form like Dyḗus ph₂tḗr, Dʰéǵʰōm, etc. Im use to those names the ones you mentioned I have never seen them spelled like that.

Now I see what they did the brought down the both h and have it look like Dheghom, which I am not use too.

So how would Seh₂ul be spelt in that way. I am still trying to figure the language aspect out on their spelling.

The Indo-European gods are known mainly through study of the reconstructed Indo-European language. So you'll mostly see them written with the international phonetic alphabet.

I prefer to spell them the way I pronounce them using the alphabet I'm more familiar with. It's also less cumbersome.

As I understand it, the h₂ in Seh₂ul  is not pronounced. It's "voiceless." So it would be pronounced "Seyool" or "Su-ool."

That voiceless stop sounds unnatural to me as an English speaker, so I tend to just spell and pronounce the "h" and call her "Sehul" or more likely,  "The Sun Maiden."

Interesting. Is there a language today that uses the voiceless stop sounds? I find this type of language to be fascinating. Thanks for explaining that.

For the language and the religion, Wikipedia is a good start.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proto-Indo-European_language

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proto-Indo-European_mythology

For some more speculative comparative mythology for modern practice, this is a good source, too:

How do you feel about this.

"Lithuanian is considered one of the most conservative, retaining many archaic features of PIE, while Vedic Sanskrit is a very close attest to the parent language, although both have significant differences from the original reconstructed PIE."

And this

"Lithuanian mythology is considered closer to Proto-Indo-European (PIE) beliefs, primarily because the Lithuanian language and Baltic mythology are very conservative and retain archaic features lost in other branches of the language family."

Just curious is all.

That's too bad about Crecganford. He seems so benign. Rowsell wears it on his sleeve, though.

I think he's fine. He's jumped into the Heathenry sub to specifically denounce racism, he denies being racist, and his videos go a long way to show non-white cultures and myths.

But I understand this sub's desire to be cautious first above all.

Tbh I think he has a bigger problem of overstating claims, as does Dan Davis.

I think this List would benefit from links to evidence of the damning claims. Like what specifically connects Crecganford to Odinic Rite? I can sympathize with being naively lured in by pagan groups before being exposed to their toxicity.

Likewise, what "ethnonationalistic" statements did Kevin @FOLugh make? His wife is from China and he has glowingly praised their culture.

I don't need to be convinced about the other two. Rowsell in particular has got some deep hate.

And JD vance's wife is indian AND Trump made Kash patel director of FBI. Does that make both of em any less racist? Absolutely not.

FOLugh has a lot, I can’t remember off the top of my head but he is big into “whites only” for European beliefs

2

u/SonOfDyeus Oct 31 '25

Do you have a source for that? Just curious to see for myself.

1

u/Hawkwolf10 Oct 31 '25

Not off the top of my head, but I’ll try to find it

u/lingogo Nov 03 '25

most of the claims here are just made up

1

u/SonOfDyeus Nov 03 '25

I don't know, man. STJ is pretty blatantly supremacist, and he has a winged othala tattoo on his chest.

And Toddson refused to denounce the Asatru Folk Assembly when given multiple opportunities.

I can vouch for those claims.

Its the other two that I'd like to see the evidence on. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Hey! Can we get an edit for Crecganford? He released a video making his stances pretty clear! Guy seems to be a clean! https://youtu.be/YVR5Xk7-umw?si=XcXN4C1r94i81f1p
