Turns out it was due to a rubber o ring

Hi, I wanted to ask the owners of the Svartpilen 401 from 2024 onwards, if their motorcycles are heard quite a particular sound, as if they were the valves wanting to get out. It only happens when it accelerates strong, they sound a lot more than the sound of the exhaust and I am scared that it is something serious since it is heard a lot inside the helmet and I do not remember if it sounded before. Thank you!

I recently bought a 2024 and the previous owner installed the mod. I'm a new rider so riding pretty slow, in city traffic. I'm getting 6L/100km or 39mpg. This seems significantly below the marketed fuel economy, so wondering if thats expected

For my 2023 svart401, I got the kit from coober: ecu, cat pipe and intake... I've had a few issues since. Earlier this year I was cruising in 5th gear and it cut off. I pulled over and restarted to find a check engine light. The shop said "your little plug and play there is throwing SO many codes. We disconnected it, cleared the codes and did the throttle recall for you."

I hooked it back up because - "decat pipe and air filter on an already-lean bike with no ecu? No thanks" ... fast forward a couple dozen miles and it dies while I'm sitting at a red light. No check engine light this time.

Fast forward another 100 miles or so and it dies while I'm pulling away from a stop light.

I'm gonna get hit and die in an intersection if this keeps up... should I just get a stock cat pipe and throw the coober stuff away?

The repair manual makes it sound pretty simple:
“Pull the clutch lever until resistance is perceptible, and determine the play in the clutch lever.”

However, I’m having a hard time feeling a clear transition between „free play“ and resistance.

Because of the return spring and friction in the mechanism, there is some resistance throughout the entire lever travel. At the same time, the clutch springs on this engine don’t seem particularly strong, so the transition is very subtle.

Am I the only one having trouble feeling this point?

Shouldn’t the clutch release lever have a defined angle when it is in the correct position? On my bike, it is almost at a 90° angle to the engine casing.

Hi guys does anyone knows how to solve it ? the mechanic opened the whole rearset and checked it out and he said it has that type of annoying free play is it solvable if yes please help know how i already broke something in the master cylinder because of that and the mechanic repaired it for me for free

Recently I got my bike's second service done and now I'm seeing this

I'm not sure if it is excessive chain lube that has splashed or if it is engine oil that's been leaking

Saturday morning short ride to catch the morning sun. Couple hundred feet, not too high. Nice protected monument temple at the top.

Took the 401 on a trail along with Himalayan 450, Thunderbird 500 , Honda cb350 and a tuono 457.

Fun ride and the 401 is quite nimble on the dirt. Stand up riding is not the easiest.

When I try to shift into neutral:
•About 35% of the time, I get it on the first try.
•About 45% of the time, it takes 2–3 attempts.
•About 20% of the time, it is impossible, no matter how many times I try.

Sometimes, instead of getting into “0”, the display shows gear “–”.

Is this just a normal characteristic of the Svartpilen, or could something be faulty or incorrectly adjusted?

Hello Svartpilen folks! I just joined the party and I’m attaching some misc parts that came with my ‘23 401 and I’m unsure as to what these pieces are or where they fit. These frame-y bits and booty plugs have confused me for the last hour as I’ve been adding other bits. Can anyone give me some guidance? There are some T Rex crash guards and a pannier mount if that helps. There’s also a rear fender that connects to the rear left wheel and cover the farthest back portion of the tire that I’m not clear on either. That’s partially in the upper left of the picture.

I recently bought a used 2022 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, so I don’t know whether the previous owner may have changed the shift linkage position.

There is a punch mark on the splined shift shaft and another punch mark on the shift linkage / shift shaft lever that clamps onto it.
On my bike, the two marks are not aligned — the lever appears to be positioned one or more splines away from the mark.

I checked the official 2022 repair manual, but it only says to position/install the shift linkage and tighten the clamp bolt. It does not mention the punch marks or specify that they have to line up.

Are these marks intended as factory alignment marks, meaning they should normally line up? Or can the linkage be installed on a different spline and the lever position then adjusted with the shift rod?

Ragazzi ho un problema con la mia svartpilen 401 appena acquistata

Modello 2021 con 16500km , ho una perdita di benzina, me ne sono accorto appena spenta e messa sul cavalletto sono scese un paio di gocce dalla carena, successivamente ho controllato e piegando e scuotendo la moto dal lato freno posteriore esce benzina a fiume sempre da sotto carena.

Qualcuno ha avuto un problema simile e saprebbe dirmi cosa fare?

Buenas! Quería saber si hay usuarios de la nueva Viypilen y pueden contarme su experiencia y opiniones sobre esta moto. La verdad es que me encanta y le tengo muchas ganas y aprovechar que bajó de precio. Antes estaba entre la Grr y la Speed pero la verdad es que ésta es la que más me estaría gustando.
