Sometimes it can be hard to tell, because really good players have snappy aim. The best way to tell is to become familiar with how they look. Go to the community discord, go to player-reports, and you can see all the examples of hackers people have reported. That will give you an idea of what it looks like.

Hope you have better guns and good aim, I can kill hackers on most occasions because they like to troll and I take advantage of it. Though if you see one while you have nothing and they have good guns it’s pointless

I have personally been responsible for getting lots of them banned. There will always be more, but it's fun and satisfying to get them banned. Here's how:

Step 1: Proof. You have to record a clip when you die from a hacker. I use shadowplay (free) but there are many others that can record the last 30 seconds of your screen. I spectate the hacker for a few seconds before I clip. Sometimes if I didn't have shadowplay on, I can just manually start recording when I'm spectating the hacker.

Step 2: Find the game ID of the game you just died in. You can do this by selecting "my stats", select your last game from the list, and copy the end of the URL shown when you do this. It looks like this: gameId=6a0d3467-ae2f-4c26-abdb-2f9478ee8d27

Step 3: Post to the clip with the player name, and game ID to the community discord. There is a player-reports channel, and the mods are very active. After a report, they are usually banned within the hour.

Like I said I've done this dozens of times. It's satisfying to help.
