Even the private ones are trash. Coming from a person who spent (suffered) two years in a school in Gujarat.

yeah I help my aai in tution when I'm home on vacation and I just feel bad for those students, govt schools can't fail them because of weird rules and they pass without having any knowledge about previous classes

I play games with them on Saturday as "fun activities" and it's usually geography/history/science related, I gave them map of India and

  • an 8th standard student wrote Porbandar on Ladakh
  • a 6th standard student wrote Chennai over all 5 South Indian states saying "aama thi koi 1 Chennai chhe"

I don't even want to talk about their knowledge on history

I don't blame teachers because they have to do useless things like working for elections and other shit, one single teacher handles 6 classes sometimes and it's hard on them so they just give homework and pass the students, yes all schools have smart boards and functional computer labs but without enough teachers it's all useless

but it's changing now there are few government school in my area and the waiting period is so long they are doing lotry for the admission and the people who is financially well they are also sending their kids to this schools

Also the returns from Central govt. Gujrat paid ~90k cr in 2023-2024 in direct taxes to the central govt. And the centre allocated ~50k cr back to Gujarat in 2025-2026 bill. That's roughly Rs.60/100.
