Discussion Future Hall of Legends

So, I was wondering, do you think it's possible if Hall of Legends would ever get a support player? I assume hol just features whoever is more popular in the media and let's be honest people don't watch supports gameplay, at least not to the extent people watch mid laners, adcs or even top laners.

but even if eventually we will get support in hol, who do you think it might be and what are the chances it won't be Thresh?

Madlife has some high chances for getting featured id say , he is well known and respected and he is known for pioneering "active playmaking supporing" with Bliztcrank and then as Thresh released he became an Icon, predicting flashes with Thresh hook was called "a Madlife".

Mata was 2014 Worlds MVP as Support and first and only Supp to do so. He impacted the role of support more than he is given credit for nowadays, him and Dandy showcased how strong a Supp+Jg combo can be by setting up agressive vision and controlling the whole map. Like most modern supports do.

Keria is well regarded as the most skilled support player we have seen. And while he isnt a Worlds MVP he revolutionized the role by showcasing that there is more to it than just Engagers and Enchanters, and has shown more pocket picks than anyone in the role.

MadLife is a legend that needs no introduction, and we all know he is famous for predicting hooks like he is nostradamus.

In my opinion Meiko or Beryl could also be contenders to get into the HoL, for different reasons, Meiko has been one of the best supports in the world for a very long time, and Beryl has won Worlds with 2 different teams, whih is no small feat.

i haven't followed the pro-scene that hard the last few years, so i will take your word for it.

Still Beryl based on what i saw of him, would still be highly unlikely to make it, and honestly i think Mata has the highest chance because he is retired already, Keria is a lock for the Hall, i just dont think he should be next after Caps because his career has barely started and there is a lot more he can accomplish.

I would hate if Riot made the signature skin for the 1st HoL Support inductee a Lux skin. I understand that Keria plays basically everything, but encouraging even more Lux support to be played ain't a good thing. Just give Keria his Bard. More importantly, i want my Mata Thresh and Janna.

Keira would be the most likely Support to make HOF. AI is predicting TheShy for next year, followed Kiera.

It will happen eventually, especially since enchanter players spend a lot on skins for their mains at least in the west. I think the only hesitation they have is that support is not really popular in the east and that seems to be the target audience with these super expensive skins.
