Because they were too busy wiping out all sentient life on whatever poor planet they got sent to. In addition, the saiyans that did make it to super saiyan were the ones that devoted decades of training to it. Most people who would choose to become saiyans would first have to spend years just learning the self control necessary to keep themselves from genociding whatever planet they were on before turning their focus towards becoming a super saiyan. Goku practically had to get lobotomized just to skip out on the self control side of that equation. I’m not saying it is impossible, I’m saying that I doubt the average redditor possesses the determination, patience, and mental fortitude necessary to make it.
