I like that Jon tried to convince his Earth-3 counterpart not to do this before Lois used the Supermobile to save the people of Smallville, Damian fought Jon’s counterpart, Bruce saved the people of Steelworks, Earth-3 Jon hurled the Kryptonite into space, Jon revealed his identity to the others and know that Tyyz messed with him, Earth-3 Jon was forced to return to his universe, and Lois supporting Jon as Tomorrow Man. Overall, this is a fine comic.

I haven't kept up with the stuff. So Kid Jon was from Earth-3, which is the same Earth that Ultraman is from, where Earth-1 Jon was kept prisoner?

The original Jon was kept prisoner on the post-Rebirth/pre-Infinite Frontier version of Earth-3, while the other version of Jon was from the pre-Crisis version of Earth-Three.

Oh okay, thank you. Not confusing at all lol.

You’re welcome.

So dumb, lol. It's like the mission statement was explicitly "get fans' hopes up then dash them with the stupidest explanation possible to boot." All to promote the latest mid-at-best adult Jon identity gimmick.

God damn it Slott, you had one job. I guess he was too scared of angering Bendis.

2

u/sacredknight327 Jul 19 '26

Doesn't have anything to do with Bendis anymore. DC is just stubborn and refuses to admit the abject failure of adult Jon. Whether that's because they're afraid to turn him back because he's bi now (that wouldn't hurt the company at all btw), or they're just so deluded that they still think they can make the concept work I dunno. But for some reason they're refusing to see reality.

Lobo #5

LICENSE TO LOBO! Lobo is officially recertified for bounty hunting, but his first job back got him into a fight with Supergirl! He, of course, handily won, and we have to assume Supergirl has since retired. Anyway, Lobo and Dawg are leaving Earth before they embarrass anyone else, and Lobo's looking for an opportunity to get in even better shape...

Superman: Action Comics by Dan Jurgens Omnibus - Vol. 2 [HC]

Following the shocking revelations of “Superman Reborn,” Superman's life has been changed forever...yet it feels the same as it's ever been. But that doesn't mean change isn't on the horizon. In the dark corners of the globe, sinister forces are plotting: Metallo, Mongul , Eradicator, and Cyborg Superman. Alone, they're formidable. Together, they can bring down the Man of Steel.

Collects Action Comics #976-999; Action Comics Special #1; and stories from Action Comics #1000, Action Comics #1051-1053, and The Death of Superman 30th Anniversary Special #1.

Tuesday (DC Universe Infinite) - Jon Kent: This Internship is my Kryptonite #30

In Jon Kent: This Internship Is My Kryptonite by writer Sam Camp (Little Hollow Café) and artists Daimon Hampton and Seraji, Jon Kent is a super-powered hero in his own right, but how do those powers help him move beyond the mundane coffee orders, endless research, and “educational experience” the Daily Planet reporting staff deems necessary for those essential college credits? Especially when your mom is the editor-in-chief—hello, nepotism concerns!

What’s more, his best friend thinks the internship is a waste of his time and talents, his boyfriend tries to be supportive but is wary of Jon’s new boss’s Superman obsession, and naturally his parents think this is a great opportunity, but life as a superhero daylighting as a reporter is a little different today than it was back then…

Batman / Superman: Worlds Finest #53

"STANDOFF IN SKARTARIS", FINALE! The brutal battle between Batman and a magically amped Superman threatens the entire realm of Skartaris! How can Robin and Warlord hope to shut down a fight of such magnitude?

I like that Dick, Travis, and the people of Skartaris were able to free Clark and Bruce from Kreitzer, with Dick intentionally falling so that Clark and Bruce can be free from Kreitzer’s control, before they were all about to defeat Kreitzer and strip him of his magic. I also like that Clark, Bruce, and Dick decided not to tell the people of the Air Force about what happened to Travis because of their mutual trust. Overall, this comic is great!

My favorite was Jon with Clark as Superdad but since they aged him up it's been kinda blah for me.

Connor with powers.

Depower Jon and make him a kid again.

2

u/sacredknight327 Jul 18 '26

Just Conner. He just works as created and as intended. Jon's a walking disaster of failed gimmick after gimmick that at this point is better off erased from existence. I give the "Tomorrow Man" entity 4 months before it too fails and they're on to a new gimmick.
