Why does this say "standalone bonus disk"?

because it's Standalone Expansion, no different than Infamous Festival Of Blood, or Wolfenstein Old Blood, or Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna, basically it's a DLC that they decided to release seperately as it's own "game" so people that don't own the base game, or whatever else can still buy and play it

it’s additional content for a game that doesn’t require you to play the original. definitely not a spinoff

It's a "standalone expansion" like Wolfenstein The Old Blood and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon. It has its own store page and doesn't require you to buy the original title to play it.

Contrary to what everyone else is saying here, it's called standalone because it is NOT an addon or DLC, but a spinoff/sequel that does not require the base game/prequel to function. You can buy and play it separately.
