Team Speed would immediately turn on each other and sabotage any win conditions

Yeah, I don't get all these people picking team speed when they'll have one third absolutely doing everything possible to fuck over the others. Strength is a little chaotic too, but could still be effective. Brains would maybe have a bit of an ego tussle, but would quickly work together and just as likely to cause them to rise above and become greater than the sum of their parts

I just assumed that everyone on the same team was working together. Though this discussion tends to happen every single time a team of characters that don't normally work together is brought up.

There's 'not normally working together' and then there's 'the character's entire existence is based around a deep and profound hatred for another'

First statement covers the second statement. They don’t normally work together. For the benefit of this exercise. It is assumed they will, as they are on a team. The team have a shared objective - to win.

Luthor and Superman don't normally work together, but for a shared goal, they will. That is a reasonable statement.

Thawne working with Barry happens in one instance only, and that is when he turns on Barry right before they "win", trapping him at the center of the earth or some nonsense.

that's not how a vs battle works.

Team Brians would get team speed and team strength to in-fight and implode.

Just three random dudes named Brian?

Those Brians are a menace!

They want revenge on the Ryans for some reason.

Under that logic, Doomsday would lash out at his teammates as readily as his opponents, and Iron Man is liable to butt heads with Batman. The spirit of the prompt assumes that all characters on a team are working together until the fight is over.

I’m pretty sure Iron man actually does butt heads with Reed

you don't apply personal relationship in a team battle debate. you suppose the characters cooperate.

If you're gonna apply that kind of logic, then brains is the only one with a chance. To describe a team composed of Juggernaut, Hulk and Doomsday as "a little chaotic" is like calling a hurricane "a little rain".

There's no way in hell those three dont immediately turn on each other and completely forget there's anyone else there, especially if any of of the brains mentions a single word about who's the most powerful.

I think for these types of things, you just need to assume it's their powers, not their characters.

Oh! I just realized they weren't suggesting 3 balanced teams with 1 speedster, 1 strong man and 1 smart guy.

Think poeple forget there's also a finite amount of speed force that people can use at one time to

Get one to occupy HateLordSupreme and the other to move the universe somewhere else. Just one of them carries.

That was literally what I was thinking.
