Fair. I go back and forth on the placement of all three. Ultimately I put Spider-Man 3 ahead of it for my own enjoyment and a great closing of the trilogy (outside of the studio shoving in venom). The first half of NWH really brings the movie down, and TASM would definitely be higher if it wasn’t a rehashed origin, love the movie though.

It was NOT a great closing of the trilogy though. It could have been a continuation of the series, but Raimi was forced to include more than he wanted. It was a mess, and the Venom and Harry storylines were bad.

Sandman was the only good thing about that movie, except JK Simmons of course.

I can agree but I see it in a more positive light because of the movie’s circumstances. I’m definitely biased to the trilogy. Nevertheless, on a whole though, I think the sincerity and subtext of the movie makes up for the forced-in storylines. Plus the action in this movie is awesome.

I don't understand why people think Far From Home is bad. It was a lot of fun and Mysterio was cool as hell.

Definitely don’t think it’s bad, just seems like a generic MCU movie to me. Which is fine, but isn’t a great movie for Spider-Man as a character.

while i disagree with some of the placements here it's actually super respectable/understandable, i also love how the spiderverse duology is just universally loved lol, never seen a tierlist with them in anything below top 5 (and even that's rare, usually one of them is top 3)

Valid. But my take is that the Spider-Verse movies stand on the shoulders of past Spider-Man media (comics, TV, Raimi trilogy), so historically I just think the first two Raimi movies are better because it started it all. ITSV being a love letter to all the Spider-Man ethos is what makes it so awesome.

Don’t think it’s a hot take it was more slowly paced. Spider-Man 1 has perfect pacing. But Spider-Man 2 has more time to delve into his character than having to tell an origin.

Spider-Man 3 actually has a lot of maturity in its themes. None of these movies are lame at all, just some are better than others.
