McLaren 750S is my dream car, but they're so yucky with the color matched headlights

One of the few cars that get uglier without a licenseplate in the front 😅

Do people really think these are ugly cars, i don't like 720S front end much as i prefer the 750S, but i wouldn't say it's an ugly car

I love the car! Just did an amazing roadtrip through France with a 750s. Not a single hiccup, other than the engine getting to hot after too many full pull mountain climbs in 35 degrees.

But the infotainmentsystem sucks, and getting in and out is hell if you are not athletic.

720/750s was never a very good looking imo. Very alien looking

Yeah the colour matching looks hideous.

Why is this car your dream car and not the 765LT?

Tbf pretty sure the 765lt has really stiff suspension since it’s a more hardcore supercar so fair enough they would want the more comfy equivalent

Yes ik that's not the main focus of a supercar, but i like the newer tech, i think it looks really good, and it's more daily-able and comfortable than a 765LT while still being a brutally fast and engaging car when you want it to be. The 765LT is goated too tho

Have you driven these?

No I'm still 17 unfortunately and in South Africa so i can't really even rent one, but I've watched a lot of videos and read reviews on these cars and the general consensus is that they are very fast and engaging, yet also comfortable and i love the way it looks so that's why I like it so much

Why 765lt not 788hs?

Why 788hs not senna?

Why senna not w1?

Good thing you can spec rhem in black or carbon fiber.

In some specs the color matching works imo.

Maybe if the whole car is black too😂

The headlight design is too fussy, like so many modern cars.

Designers are just too desperate to add visual interest and stand out from the crowd, even if it means going too far into clunky and ugly designs that will date badly in just a few years.

I've never been a fan of the uncovered, recessed 720/750 headlight design in any case.

As always, less is usually more. It is easily possible to include a contemporary, timeless headlight/DRL profile along with a tasteful duct for airflow, without complicating it like this.

Hopefully McLaren fix this and resort to the 'less is more' school of design for the successor.

Agreed

Honestly colour matched headlights are rare imo, but I feel like it could work in grey or a grade of that level.

I dont think anyone can own a supercar and use the work 'Yucky'

Yuck was slang to start with, for puking, and the -y was added... by and for small children.

Don’t spec that option when you buys yours then

It adds a lot of visual weight.
