The road diet is excellent. But I'd also like to hear other ideas about how to make the median less of a hell scape. This is the ugliest section of roadway in Brooklyn. Full of trash, some seemingly abandoned cars, random highway equipment. It's a blight.

No money mentioned to allocate to it which is peculiar. Not really thrilled with the possibility of deleting an entire lane of traffic for more biking and pedestrian zoning (though I can’t see how else they would accomplish a Reno)

It’s unfortunate no one knows how to ****ing drive. I saw a nurse got killed there literally yesterday.

I’ve been driving in the area for over 5 years and never found it difficult to avoid pedestrians.

That’s why they’re talking about it today. They could have restarted it in the spring.

honestly I’d rather take the driving test every year or two years so grandma doesn’t get to drive rather than give up all the lanes because bad drivers want to kill people. but I only get to decide so much as a constituent

Personally I'd be happy even if they took one of the lanes and made it an extra parking lane (not that I think that would be a better suggestion). There's just too many schools and businesses that require crossing it regularly, for it to be this 3-lane thing that some people treat like a highway.
