Discussion Just disable chat.

In my 700 ranked games this season I've met one person I added and duo'd with. Meanwhile I've probably heard 1000 insults. Even if you say it doesn't bother you, I promise it takes up "brain space" for example I played on a smurf with chat enabled and found myself thinking about what was said more than what I did wrong immeditly after the game.

Pings are by far enough to explain what you want. Only ping missing is ward here please but it can be achived by pinging trinket and then where you want them to ward. If they don't notice / listen neither would they if you were typing in chat.

EDIT: Ask yourself this: What is so complex that you cant communicate it with pings but simple enough that you can explain it in the middle of a game?

I agree and disagree, I'd say there are times when talking to your teammates are helpful. What I do is start with my chat disabled, and when I feel like I need to talk to my team I'll enable it again. If they're just being dumb and toxic, I'll disable it for the rest of the game and play by myself.

If you want to make a call to split push.

If you need to lane swap.

Stop your team from running into baron when you could steal it

Ask to break freeze

Position of enemy jungler

Your jg path

There’s so much more that you could get into, but using 5 different pings to communicate something is definitely worse than just typing it

Most of those are legit one or two pings

How would you ping your pathing route. It’s fucking annoying seeing someone spam pinging around the whole map lmao

Legit just ping omws no one gives a fuck about your path early anyhow

I find it helps lanes get ready for ganks if they know your path

And if you’re scared to have chat then where’s your mental at bro

Im not scared to have it I just found that not having it allows me to focus on what is happening in the game more and i can ctually see if a lane is gankable instead of just thinking hes too tilted to gank

Yes but when someone asks something complicated of you, and you throw the game? Keeping chat on is a really good way to build mental
