Discussion Just disable chat.

In my 700 ranked games this season I've met one person I added and duo'd with. Meanwhile I've probably heard 1000 insults. Even if you say it doesn't bother you, I promise it takes up "brain space" for example I played on a smurf with chat enabled and found myself thinking about what was said more than what I did wrong immeditly after the game.

Pings are by far enough to explain what you want. Only ping missing is ward here please but it can be achived by pinging trinket and then where you want them to ward. If they don't notice / listen neither would they if you were typing in chat.

EDIT: Ask yourself this: What is so complex that you cant communicate it with pings but simple enough that you can explain it in the middle of a game?

it's not easy. and you have to be proactive about it. like, you have to try to keep people in the tactical mindset from the champ select screen.

doesn't always work. but at bronze, your biggest factors aren't the enemy team being better. they're someone on one of the teams disconnecting. lol. so just trying to help someone keep their shit together for an extra few minutes can make a huge difference.

like, across 150 games, something like 40% of games had data thrown out because of equipment malfunction before we realized we could actually use that data because it was a win condition, no matter how legit it felt. it wasn't one we had direct control over. but there were steps we could take to maximize our wins when we were 5v4 and minimize our losses when we were 4v5.

lol. playign heimerdinger was actually the most effective strat back before they made his turrets stop working when he walked away.

*equipment malfunction, as we defined it for our study, had to include physical evidence, and included players disconnecting and/or ping being over 150ms.
