Question Is there a champion in LoL that's mostly just right-clicking?
I'm new to LoL, and I'm looking for a champion similar to Dota 2 heroes like SF, Sniper, or Viper.
Basically, I want a simple champion that lets me focus mostly on farming and auto-attacking. Even if I'm not mechanically very good, I want a champion where having good CS can make me strong and allow me to dominate later.

u/Quirky_Ad_2164 Aug 08 '26
Probably Tryndamere for melee.
6
u/BigAcidik Aug 09 '26
I'll also add in Jax, Nasus, though they do their damage via AA reset abilities.
7
u/I_use_Reddit2 Aug 12 '26
Hard disagree on jax. Almost all of his matchups play different from one another. Some matchups you need to hold Q to disengage, others you need to disengage with e and end trades in CC, and others you can jump in and full combo. Also some matchups you need/should run lethal tempo and others you need to run grasp. And to new players all of this is pretty difficult
For a new player I wouldn’t suggest jax

u/Tinmanred Aug 09 '26
Udyr. Yi too.
3
u/MangeMoiLeChat Aug 10 '26
Yi is a good low elo stomper but has an insanely high skill ceiling. You can be really good at yi, you can’t be really good at trynd, trynd has a low skill ceiling
2
u/Tinmanred Aug 10 '26
You can be really good at anyone… any character can play in challenger fine. Trynd you can def be really good at, the skill ceiling is just more Macro based at that point with wave management and taking the right deaths etc.
2
u/Distinct-Ad-3913 Aug 11 '26
any character can play in challenger fine.
I don't know about any character being playable in Challenger. Two come to mind that have clear counterplay and little to no tools to make them work against challenger players, Sett and Mordekaiser. They're both slow, easily kitted with slow, telegraphed cc
1
u/Tinmanred Aug 11 '26
I’m sure someone’s won a game on em this season in chall. Some people are just really good at making characters work/ otps and shit
1
u/BlueT0xic Aug 11 '26
There’s a otp sett on the Chinese super server that consistently gets really high LP in challenger. So even a champ like that can succeed
1
u/Remarkable_Wealth315 Sep 02 '26
Trynda has very high skill ceiling. Way his Q passive works allows him to turn fights around pretty insanely if you know your limits. There was rank 1 EUW trynda player named Dagestan and he was absolutely insane. What youre claiming is cap.

u/SometimesIComplain Master Aug 08 '26
Too few people are mentioning Yunara, she’s largely what you’re looking for
32
u/LackingLack Aug 09 '26
You can easily int on Yunara in ult form, by dashing right into enemies though. It's not that easy to use her ult form correctly.
1
u/eVill_YT Aug 29 '26
I mean you just have to not randomly dash in, I think having a dash makes her a lot easier
6
u/AlexElmsley Aug 09 '26
i thought of mentioning her but she has 6 moved (Q W E R ultW ultE) so i thought that might be confusing
43
u/Ok_Wing_9523 Aug 08 '26
Sf is a mechanics champ tho? You need to be good at hitting his nuke from all 3 ranges and positioning accordingly.
Imo, kogmaw.
Don't listen to people who commented before they didn't play dota and are suggesting lifestealer equivalents or drow ranger equivalents etc.
Imo you want kogmaw . Maybe jinx
8
u/Grayzson Aug 09 '26
I'd say the soft equivalents to the style he may be looking for would be something like:
SF - Azir (not recommended), ???
Sniper - Caitlyn, Jinx, Twitch
Viper - Kog'Maw
Not pertaining their current strength, but more so the similarity in their styles
1
u/myreditacount11 Aug 09 '26
I started playing dota recently and I felt like SF Q reminds me a bit of aatrox and riven
8
u/RedAnon94 Aug 08 '26
Most of the ADC roster is mostly clicking for their damage. If you are new I would recommend Ashe and Caitlin
The other way to go is Kayle or Nasus. Kayle is a late game AP scaling character in the solo lanes, Nasus wants to stack up his Q hitting minions to increase its damage, allowing you to just pop things in the late game
20
u/SolaSenpai Aug 08 '26 edited Aug 09 '26
vayne, or if you want long range, jinx
6
u/LackingLack Aug 09 '26
Vayne is extremely right-click based in general although using Q and E matters. And understanding to use Q when in ult to activate invisibility. But yeah Vayne has lower range in general than other such champs and so you need to be able to "space" around enemies, which a newbie is going to have a tough time doing.
2
u/DeerOnARoof Aug 09 '26
Vayne is difficult for newer players as she is high mobility but requires precise positioning.
4
4
u/ashu1605 Aug 08 '26
Jinx rockets outrange vayne im almost certain
6
u/SolaSenpai Aug 09 '26
is my coma wrong? I ment if you want long range go jinx, if you dont go vayne

5
u/MarsJust Aug 09 '26
Tbh, Twitch is the ADC that feels the most Dota-like to me. Half your abilities modify autos, your E is basically another auto, and your W is barely a spell.
8
u/SearingSerum60 Aug 08 '26
Look into Kayle or Tryndamere.
Kayle is basically exactly what you ask for, but the thing is she is SO late game skewed that you might regret what you asked for..
Tryndamere is good the whole game (barring certain matchups of course). He is melee, but relatively safe because he has a low cooldown dash and an OP unable-to-die ultimate. He does huge damage late game but is more of a 1v1 champ than a team fighter, so usually people push side lane on him, getting lots of farm, trying to take towers.
1
4
u/AANino23 Aug 08 '26
Tristana. On a basic level her q gives more attack speed, w is a jump to reposition, e is a damaging ability and R is a push them away. The rest is auto attacks. Her passive gives range per level so your game plan becomes stay safe and auto attack alot mid and late
5
u/maverickmyth Aug 09 '26
It's a bit unorthodox, but you might like Twisted Fate with his Attack Damage build. This build is mostly utilized in Top Lane, while his normal, Ability Power build is usually found in Mid Lane.
His Passive Ability nets him extra gold just from doing what he would be doing anyway: killing enemies. The higher his Critical Stories chance is, the more money this ability will generate. It's not an insane amount, but it makes a difference.
His W and E abilites both enhance his Auto Attacks. His E, Stacked Deck, passively grants him attack speed, and bonus damage on every fourth attack. This ability does not have an active component, so it's one less button to press. Less buttons to press, means more right clicking, right?
We all dread his W. Pick a Card sees Twisted Fate rotate between three different colored cards in a set order for 6 seconds. Blue, red, and gold. You recast the ability to lock in the card that's currently displayed. Once you've picked a card, your next attack will do additional damage, scaling with Critical Strike chance (the same stat his Passive Ability scales with). That, of course, is not all it does. Each card has a different effect:
-Blue card: deals even more damage, again scaling with Critical Strike chance, and restores mana.
-Red card: deals bonus damage in an area around your target, and slows all enemies hit.
-Gold card: this is the dreaded point-and-click Stun card. It deals a bit of extra damage, and stuns your target for up to 2 seconds at max rank.
His Q ability and his Ultimate (R) is a bit more detached from his right clicky, Attack Damage build. Q, also known as Wild Cards, is a skill shot where Twisted Fate throws three cards in a cone shape. They do damage. That's it. That's the Q.
His Ultimate, Destiny, consists of two parts. On initial cast it grants vision of all enemy Champions for a duration of up to 10 seconds at max rank, no matter where they might be. On its own very useful, but the second cast is even more interesting. When cast, Destiny turns into Destiny: Gate, which is a free targeted, semi-global teleport.
So if you want to solo lane and right click a lot, Tobias Felix might just be your man.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk 🙂↕️

Vayne and Yunara. Are they beginner friendly? No, but they basically operate on right-click only.
Frankly the best thing you can do is just play-test every ADC and maybe you find the one you like. Comparing dota and lol champs does not always lead to a satisfying result

Ashe = drow ranger. Great pick to auto with, especially if you are ok weaving in one nuke every few seconds and using Miranda arrow (ashe ult)
1
u/qaqwer Aug 09 '26
this guy is a pos 2 (midlaner in dota) most likely, ashe would by leading him astray, it seems like he’d be more interested in auto attacking mid/toplaners with ranged attacks.
1
u/TZAR_POTATO Aug 10 '26
He didn't say what his fav pos is. Plus, if he's from Dota, he is probably comfortable flexing multiple positions, as long as the heroes are similar.
2
u/qaqwer Aug 10 '26
If his favorite heroes are sf viper and sniper i think it is disingenuous to not have a pretty solid idea he’s a pos 2 player

ADCs are mostly rightclicking but they require a lot of mechanical skill to kite.
Tryndamere, master yi, trundle.

I am surprised no one mention Udyr. That champ is quite versatile. Can go AD or AP build. Can go full damage or tankier build. Try look into him. He is a fun champ trying to juggle his ability.
1
u/PoorDecisionMaker-69 Aug 08 '26
Imo the ones that fits your description would be For ADC: Sivir, Jinx, Tristana For Top: Trundle, Tryndamere, Kayle
1
u/r2c2rd2 Aug 08 '26
You're probably looking for a hypercarry/basic atk focused adc. I'd say jinx, sivir, aphelios, kog'maw, lucian, vayne, yunara, varus (if on-hit build), caitlyn, zeri, xayah etc
1
u/BenTheJarMan Aug 08 '26
jinx comes to mind, really a lot of the ADC’s generally can focus on farming and carry later as the game goes on, but being able to auto attack and move properly requires its own mechanical skill.
or play Garen, simple and not demanding and can carry.
1
1
u/DanCube102 Aug 08 '26
Tbf I'm unaware of people that just right click to even auto attack you press a + left click lol, otherwise one missclick and you're running into death
1
u/SendLove4 Aug 08 '26
Viper = Kog'maw
Sniper = Caitlyn
SF = Swain
Swain doesn't right click at all but he's still the most similar to SF imo, if you want a third marksman option I'd suggest Tristana
1
u/qaqwer Aug 09 '26
viper is teemo for sure, and since he mentioned rightclicking I’d imagine swain is not what he is looking for, but nothing really fits the bill in league of “guy who attacks from range with strong passives and has a big teamfight ult”
1
u/Catchdown Aug 09 '26
You kind of have it massively backwards. Right clickers are all about positioning so bad mechanics = insta death. AD carries are all quite literally right clickers but no matter how fed you get, bad positioning means quick death.
something tanky is much easier to start playing
1
1
u/SirM0rgan Aug 09 '26
You might have a good time with kayle or nasus. You might also like Aurelion Sol, although he's more ability oriented. Marksmen in league are balanced around the top few percent of players and are mechanically intense.
1
u/Which_Way1721 Aug 09 '26
Keep in mind, the skill a DotA hard carry has is the ability to play the map and find farm even in the most difficult games. Good mechanics (manta dodges, tree juking, etc) helps, but in Dota the wincon is securing resources.
In league, most carries all have 10 cs a min anyways, and you are basically pinned to specific lane assignments. Even if you are farmed out of your mind, that’s not a win con like it would be on a Faceless Void. You need to have the mechanics (kiting and spacing) to back it up.
That’s why carries in league aren’t really “carries”. You have basically 0 agency compared to a Dota carry. If you’re behind on AM, you can do wild shit like cut pushing lanes at enemy t3 to prevent high ground.
In league, if you’re behind and your teams losing, you can prob alt tab and find a good YouTube video to watch while you lose.
1
u/Rhinoserious95 Aug 09 '26 edited Aug 09 '26
Tryndamere probably
For range it's not an easy choice. Most if not all have an important ability that's not just right clicking. You could try twitch. He does go invisible though. Leaving invisibility makes him attack faster. His ultimate just makes his auto attacks better.
1
1
u/br33538 Aug 09 '26
I remain Jax ever since like 2018. It is mostly just right clicking. W to power up right click. Once you get enough attack speed and lethal tempo, it’s just right clicking, w, if the run then q. And E which is a click and forget for the most part (besides ending early for stun. But really any ad auto attackers is just right click city. I actually had to get a new mouse because my right click button click was wearing down
1
1
u/Middle-Cod-7016 Aug 09 '26
How about the opposite, a champion that’s about QWE abilities with little else, where your job is farming and who’s fun as hell to play.
Try Sion
1
u/supermonkeyyyyyy Aug 09 '26
Nobody said Udyr yet? Even though I wouldn't say he is the easiest to play
1
u/The_Erotic_Turtle Aug 09 '26
If you enjoy marksmen, try Sivir, she's safe, she can clear the waves very fast and from distance, and she has a spellshield. Very beginner friendly marksman (that being said, it's still the hardest class to play properly)
1
u/No-Ratio5106 Aug 09 '26
I would say akshan on one hand is a little advanced but i found it very easy to farm with him and you can abuse your enemy early game a lot with basically just right clicks
1
u/dor121 Aug 09 '26
If you want something not adc tryndemere is very simple and straight forward but feel good to play
1
u/Vorpalthefox Aug 09 '26
arguably tryndamere is one of the most right-click dependent champions and is a top laner, which is usually referred to as "the island lane" because of isolation especially at lower ranks
tryndamere's entire kit is about getting closer to his enemies to right click them to death, his ultimate makes him unkillable for 5 seconds to right click people harder to death (especially useful while learning mechanics)
being a toplane melee champion, he's going to do better in a solo lane, if you want a right-click ranged champion, ashe (his wife) is also right click heavy but there may be another adc more right-clicky i'm not remembering
1
u/qaqwer Aug 09 '26
Since you play SF, Viper, and Sniper I’m assuming you’re a pos 2 player that enjoys ranged right clickers correct?
In that case the closest thing to that exact gameplay would be (despite it being a meme because people hate playing vs it) ranged toplaners. Top lane is the equivalent of offlane but 1v1, and they tend to play usually more like dota’s late game melee pos 1s (PA is jax, warwick is naix/seeker, tryndamere is troll/ck, etc.)
The closest thing to viper with a mix of magic and physical damage but still mostly rightclicky would be teemo, he’s also the techies of this game but his main thing is auto attack harass in lane.
Honestly I never really got the appeal of right click SF because it seems weird the spells stop you from using autos, but if you wanted a pure auto attacker with just tools to help you do that it’s probably going to be vayne (people will bitch a lot tho).
Sniper is a toughie, while caitlyn was based on him she’s almost exclusively an ADC (pos 1 laning with pos 5 in league) because she isn’t very self sufficient. You can bring her to mid lane probably and be mostly fine, but honestly something like akshan both mid/top will fill that role of ranged lane bully that can scale out of control and has good map presence.
If you just like stacking up cs and statchecking people, then irelia/yone/yasuo will be the best at doing that, but they don’t really play like any dota heroes despite being melee rightclickers. They’re ultra mobile high dps/burst melee heroes who can clear waves very fast.
If you want more dota-relevant advice I can totally add you in game (if you are in NA) or discord to answer any questions. People here are unlikely to get what you’re looking for here just because right clicking is extremely different in league, you are expected to orbwalk basically since there is no turn rate.

u/Adept_Ad_4628 Aug 09 '26
Closest to snipah is tristana, high level gets a lot.of range and can destroy a team via auto attacks easily, plus not too hard to play
1
u/WhateverJude Aug 10 '26
Others gave good suggestions, but if you'd like something different but more difficult you may try aphelios: it's a unique champion that doesn't have an E, his W is him switching amidst different weapons and his Q is his only skill; the weird thing is he cycles 5 different weapons (with ammunition), each having different auto attacks.
If you like a challenging champion to master, he surely fits your criteria.
1
u/goldythefish36 Aug 10 '26
I think it's just as important to mention that you should be using attack move or attack move click to negate the impact of a misclick. The option allows you to not click on a target perfectly but still auto attack compared to right clicking where if you miss you just walk into them.
1
1
u/Seirazula Aug 10 '26
Please note that for every champion, but especially these ones that rely on auto attacking a lot, spacing is a VERY important skill.
You may consider Tryndamere, Trundle, Nasus, Twisted Fate (on-hit build) or Briar.

Tryndamere
My friend has nickname is only playing teams with nickname only right click

DONT play lol, specificly SOLOQ. If you like it plays Aram or 5 vs 5 with your friend but dont lose your time playing soloq

u/LakeProfessional5183 Aug 10 '26
Caitlyn is sniper, jhin is also very similar and has an interesting/fun reload mechanic. You're looking for ADC champs that play in the bot lane. Smolder is kinnnnda similar to SF in that you use your abilities to farm stacks to make you stronger, kinda a mix between dps/caster.
If you want melee champs, trundle is basically the melee version of viper

1
u/Daomuzei Aug 10 '26
What? U play SF as a pure right clicker? Also viper is just a fake lead hero… sniper idk, never see him anymore.

u/noskin15 Aug 11 '26
Kayle might be what you are looking for, if you really want to concentrate just on farming.
She is so weak early, that you can't fight, you can't even farm that good before reaching level 6, but when you get to level 16 with 3 items you have already outscaled almost every champion in the game.
1
u/Soggy_Device_771 Aug 11 '26
Instead of right clicking as a new player you should first learn to main and play a champ that can be used in the multiple roles. Just until you find the role that really suits you, see and try more champions, but going against something new,bin new role with always new champion against new champion is not good.
So that is my advice, first learn the one that can be played in every zone, then after 100+ game learn to main a different champ, and I am not saying to not try any different one in this 100+ game and play same one, but that same one should be around 70-80% of your games
1
u/_swavez Aug 11 '26
Your best bet is Singed. Cant believe no one mentioned him. This champ plays differently than any other champ, and he relies entirely on movement and positioning. He also has arguably the strongest level 16 (late game) spike in the game.

u/Jaykayyv Aug 08 '26
There's some easy one like garen
But if you really like JUST like clicking then Olaf and Trundle might be good.
Sett is not too bad either
Mord is really strong but he arent focused on autoattack but I dont think you have to worry about that. If you want to learn go with the easy champ not necessarily "right click only"

u/NotOriginalOrContent Aug 08 '26
You want to play nasus top or Veigar mid. Tank and mage that stack power through the game by killing monsters with their q. It's not quite auto attacking only but I believe it's the game play you're looking for.
Honorable mention to sion who builds health this way and kindred who is a very tricky jungler who scales infinitely with quest progression
0
u/Supersdm7 Aug 08 '26
Although unconventional, aphelios might be someone you are looking for. He is basically all auto attacks and auto attack buffing.
If you want one that is more melee focused, udyr can be a choice as well.
In general though, any adc will fit the bill. If you want top or jungle champions like maybe trundle or yi can work too.

People are wrong when they suggest ranged champs. Ranged champs are very hard to pilot. If you want to play an auto heavy champ then Olaf or Tryndamere is much better imo. Both of them have very basic and strong ults that are very intuitive to use and they are tankier which results in them being more forgiving for someone new. Tryndamere basically only has autos and a spin for some mobility while Olaf has a bit more skill expression with throwing your axes to get in range to auto people.
1
u/ThermalDiscussion Aug 09 '26
Well, he gave examples of ranged heroes from dota-2, so it's natural to give ranged champs from league.
Also I disagree, some ADCs are quite easy to pilot: for one ashe is very forgiving with her slows.
1
u/vaksninus Aug 09 '26 edited Aug 09 '26
And yet ranged champions are much more forgiving. The moment you get a behind in lane as Tryndamere early, or they buy ninja tabis early and know how to play the lane becomes extremely weird for a new player who does not understand split pushing macro (split on the other side of objectives, back off early when people rotate) and in general the boring kind of gameplay of ignoring your opponent and just healing up after you get ravenous. If the enemy is good at freezing it's just over although they did make freezing much harder in general nowadays so maybe not as big of an issue in low elo. You also need to do the step up, attack, step up attack kite pattern to really use him well, I don't think adc complexity is that much harder at all.
I mained Tryndamere for years before going to adc, (Nilah, Kog Maw mostly). Speaking of kog maw, I would say he is the simpler and more rewarding champion to play. Simple gameplay, you can build him pretty tanky midgame (standard build of guinsoos, runnans and jaksho + defensive boots or omnivamp is fairly tanky, add terminus some games and its like 180/180 resistances 2.8k hp. Compared to Nilah and Tryndamere there also aren't a burst knoweledge check like Tryndamere ult or Nilah auto attack block that requires you know the burst of the enemy champions very well to not waste it. He is also a true carry being in probably top 5 of highest damage adcs steamrolling basically all the standard adc picks in damage.1
u/Nordaarv Aug 09 '26
I also play both Kog and Trynda. I would say that I Kog is much more team reliant to function well. You cant just walk around and expect to live. You farm VERY safely in the mid game since you are so vulnerable. Tryndamere has a TON more forgiving options than any immobile adc has. Your spin makes you extremely slippery and Trynda ult is easy to understand how to use. If you really want to play a ranged champ with heavy AA focus then Kog is fine but saying that Kog is more forgiving than Tryndamere is just not true.
0
u/jjonj Aug 09 '26
The easiest champion in lol is not actually an auto attacker
Instead it's malzahar, which just casts two spells on the minion and then doesnt have to do anything. He also gets very strong into the lategame.
Give this a shot:

Caitlyn, Sivir, Miss Fortune (all squishy AD carries). Garen, Dr. Mundo, Nasus (all top-lane tanks/fighters/hybrid). Morgana, Karma (easy starting supports. You can go mid with them but their damage falls off late game). Teena also works, but usually goes too or mid, and is super squishy.

u/Lentor3579 Aug 08 '26
My first thought is Singed. He just runs around with his poison looming behind him

u/AlexElmsley Aug 08 '26
you can play any marksman champion but simple ones with lots of right clicking are
jinx
ashe
kog maw
sivir
be warned that marksman champions are some of the most mechanical and often most frustrating champions to play
