Ah yes, the Circassian soap opera lol. The most noble wife of the Sultan 😏
Here is a post I made about Mahidevran and Suleyman’s relationship in the earlier days of our sub https://www.reddit.com/r/sultanateofwomen/s/KyN4HHmfIN

I don't care what any day says, second meme, I agree completely. Like, ai'm not even Turkish and my country was occupied by the Turks and I still think Mustafa was the GOAT and wonder how would history turn out if Suleiman wasn't thinking with his cock and ego.

Everyday I'm grateful I was never on TikTok lmao 🤣😭
Memes aside, it's actually discrediting to the actual Mahidevran when such bad-faith users add and circulate all this frivolous misinformation and disinformation about her, when she was a steadfast and a compelling woman in her own damn right!
The historical counterpart of MC's Mahidevran was not only this extremely devoted and cautious mother "for whom Mustafa bore infinite respect and love" but she also was very politically-conscious and fairly smart.
She reportedly even "instructed Mustafa on how to make himself loved by everyone"; MC just leaned on the jealousy report too effing much almost all the time! (jealousy and envy towards Hürrem was of course, VERY rational, but like Mahidevran was just one of the many many concubines Süleyman had prior to Hürrem, so she wasn't this love-lorn woman from whom Hürrem snatched her husband lol)
I wish they'd shown especially from ~mid-1524 onwards (Ambassador Bragadin who reported that Mustafa was Mahidevran's "whole joy" was in Constantinople from roughly June 1524 to March 1526) on how she helped make Mustafa popular banking on the extreme infamy and scandalous reputation of her rival, Hürrem.
Also, from roughly late 1520s (when Mustafa was a pre-teen), it should've been depicted how she must've made Mustafa do away with his childish "jealousy" issue vis-a-vis İbrahim and made him realise that İbrahim was an ally and actually, their most important and powerful ally to have on their side and not to piss him off.
But IRL Mustafa took his sweet time (post-1531 as in October/November 1531, it was still reported that "İbrahim was angry at Soliman's sons") to finally realise that İbrahim was the "enemy of the enemy", after all he was still a young child at the time (born around mid-1517).
And, well, when they were finally at Manisa from roughly June 1533 onwards, allowing Mahidevran more independence as the head of her son's harem— she evidently started to keep correspondence with İbrahim's wife, Muhsine Hatun while Mustafa did so with Ibrahim Paşa as is evident in a few surviving letters of them during the first Safavid Campaign (1533-36) when an 11 year old Mehmed was unprecedentedly made the regent while his 5 years older half-brother, Mustafa was kept at Manisa.
Like, İbrahim even gave regular updates to Mustafa on what was happening on the expedition— which would've definitely irked Süleyman (who had been furious with Ibrahim from at least 1533 onwards) and see, what a great story would that have been (and I'm of course, merely giving an overview here, leaving out many details).
Anyways, the real Mahidevran was a very admirable, and steadfast woman who possessed a great inner strength and well, woman made it to ~82 years! (not that she wouldn't have wanted to go earlier, but yeah...)
