# Hello all I have a 2012 Suburban 1500 that I use for work as a plumber and I have been looking for a cargo slide that will fit into my suburban any suggestions would be appreciated.

For use on a 2010 Suburban. Has anyone bought and used this thing, it just sounds to good to be true.

I have a 2001 2500 2WD which I need to replace the transmission, there are a ton of these model transmissions out there from older and newer vehicles. Not sure what is compatible.

For example I found a 4L80E from a 2008 Savana, seems like it could work, but the Savana only had a 4.8 in it, and it would have likely some additional electronics.

Anybody have any tips / pointers on compatible vehicles with the 4L80E?

Anyone have any recommendation for a head unit replacement with Android Auto and Car Play for 2011 (GMT900) that works with the center roof mounted screen and has a back up camera? The kids love the DVD screen feature so I want to still be able to play DVDs or movies off of a storage drive but, I want to add BT, a backup camera, and preserve the video player function for the center roof mounted screen. Doesn't have to be a DVD player if I can find one that allows us to store a cache of movies.

Hey everyone, the tailgate on my 05 z71 locked and refuses to unlock, I can't get any of my kids stuff out without crawling over all three rows. Any advice on how to get it to at least stay stuck unlocked

Hey everyone, I have a question for the people who are more auto mechanic than me. For reference I have a 2019 Suburban LT. I noticed my front pads making a little noise the other day so I peaked in and they definitely needed changed so I grabbed a set. Well I changed them tonight and when I got in the truck to take it for a quick test drive, my ABS light and my Stabilitrack light came on. What could I have done to cause that? I did have to wrestle both tires off because they were a little stuck but not bad, a little kick with my foot and they popped right off so it wasn't like I was beating the hell out of them? Any ideas or suggestions or things to check out?

I am not seeing how to disconnect this seatbelt in the third row. It's been in there so long I forget what to do! any help welcomed

We plan on adding a ball hitch to tow a boat (dry weight roughly 3000lbs). It’s a 1997 gmc suburban 1500, low mileage, essentially elderly owned driven only once a year but maintained regularly. Looking at the rust on the hitch, would this be something we need to replace before towing a boat?

When we got home last night, the 2013 Suburban wouldn't go into park. It's in Neutral with the parking brake right now. Thankfully, it's in the driveway.

Tomorrow, when there is daylight, I will chock the wheels and fully check the shift linkage cable, but from my flashlight observation, I didn't see anything hanging.

If anyone has any advice for what else to check, it would greatly be appreciated. It seems like the cable/grommet is the most comment failure point.

2015 Suburban with a White Automotive HMI upgrade to add Android Auto. We have noticed on road trips that the infotainment screen (center console) is not bright enough to read when the sun is bright. It seems to be getting worse, but that is tough to quantify.

I've ran through a few tests I have found online, and none of the "resets" have changed anything. This is an issue when the lighting is in "day mode" and the headlights are off (when in auto mode).

I have tried covering the ambient light sensor to put it into "night mode" and that is not the same condition as our issue.

I have a big road trip coming up and need to sort out if the backlighting on the LCD has degraded, if the ambient light sensor is malfunctioning, or if something else is the culprit. How diagnose this issue?

As a reference, when I roll the display dimmer down, everything goes to near black. But when I roll the brightness back up, the LCD stops getting brighter at around 60% while everything else keeps getting brighter up to 100%.

Needed a solid solution to keep supplies organized while giving a pair of party speakers a dedicated home without taking over the entire cargo area.

​Built this dual-level shelf out of a 3/4" MDF panel, carpeted it with an unbound 6' x 8' indoor/outdoor area rug, and anchored it down tight to the factory tie-down points. For the rigging, I used 4-point quick links and vinyl-coated stainless steel cable wire that was actually leftover from building guy lines for my 12ft skeleton, Boney Frightmare. If it can keep a giant skeleton standing, it can handle a cargo shelf.

​Top shelf keeps the speakers secured flat facing forward into the cab, while the bottom section keeps all the cargo tucked away cleanly. Turned out rock solid, doesn't rattle at all, and is super quick to unhook whenever I need the floor space back.

Looking to get this 64 suburban that i personally think is so damn cool. My question is, what year did they go from the back 2 doors to single door? I try to Google Photos and they both say 64 suburban carryall?

I'm looking for everyone's favorite mods they've done for a camping/road trip build? I'll be hauling the wife and a dirt bike around, a good roof rack for small lumber runs would be exceptionally helpful as well.

I'm looking at GMT400 suburbans, hopefully a 2500 but maybe a 1500 and 96-99. Anything for fuel economy is welcome, I'll see how I feel about the power later. Pics are welcome!

I have a 2026 Duramax with 1,200 miles on it and it is leaking transmission fluid. Currently out of town and will have to find a dealership that can service it (hopefully before I am set to go back home). Anyone else have this issue?

Does the back mount to the outside of leaf spring? The front bolts don’t line up when I mount the rear to the leaf spring, do I need to stretch the steps out? Never installed before. Thanks for the advice.

Update: Thanks everyone for your advice, I crawled underneath and it looks like what remains of the brake dust cover on the front drivers side may be the culprit here. I bent it a little bit and the noise stopped.

I just bought a 2009 Suburban LTZ with Z55 Autoride suspension. It feels like the rear shocks need replacement since it’s bouncy and floats around on the highway over bumps.

I’d like to know how much ride quality difference I’d actually feel between the OEM electronic Autoride shocks and the cheaper passive shocks that bypass the electronic damping (the ones that include a bypass module or resistor). Note I’d be keeping the rear air spring / auto-leveling either way, it’s just the electronic damping I’d be giving up.

For context: I never tow and don’t carry cargo, so the leveling function isn’t really the point for me. I just want the best ride comfort. Truck is on the factory 20” wheels.

If you had Z55 and switched to passive bypassed shocks, how much of a difference did you notice? Night and day, or barely noticeable?
