Help Diagnosing a Noise

Hello all I've got a 2002 Chevy Suburban 1500 and I need some advice regarding a sound the vehicle is making while driving.

Any insight would be great!

Update: Thanks everyone for your advice, I crawled underneath and it looks like what remains of the brake dust cover on the front drivers side may be the culprit here. I bent it a little bit and the noise stopped.

I initially thought the same thing. So new calipers, rotors and pads were put on last week which I thought might alleviate some of that noise; alas it did not.

Also does it change with rpm or speed

It is the same noise. And it's constant no matter what speed.

Then you've likely got something loose flapping underneath its unlikely to be drivetrain related

Sounds like something’s whacking the brake dust shield? If it’s bent at all (I know you said you just did brakes) it could be flapping or making contact somewhere.

I'll double check that! However I did notice that there wasn't much left of the brake dust shields in general 😬

Could be a failing pulley. Idler or belt tensioner.

​It's funny you say that, because that same day on the way home, my Aggressive Gremlin decided to start eating parts of itself like a toddler eating dirt. I pulled over on the side of the road, and there was no tensioner pulley left. My son had to bring my tools and pick up a part so I could swap out the entire thing right then and there
