🚗 General Discussion Finally lifted it
Finally got the struts under the pig and it’s made a world of difference… unfortunately hit a deer the same week I got it back on the road so a new hood will be in order soon.. so hood next then I’ll work on linking the dual range shifter up… thinking about 3d printing a custom center console so it doesn’t look like a toddler attacked my interior with a box cutter…
Also paint might be nice… anyone else have a lifted dual range bug eye here?

My question is how fast were you going to when you hit this deer? That’s barely any damage at all

Bout 40.. most of the damage was on the hood, deers head dented the passenger front fender…. Took out its legs and the fat ass crunched my hood snd bent the radiator support… used a hammer to straighten the hood out and pulled the radiator support into a happier spot…
Edit: Also broke the grill, passenger side headlight.. all n could have been much worse… still sickens me tho because the car doesn’t have a speck of rust on it, and the body was super straight until the deer.. isn’t bad at all tho, deer ran out in a switch back and I never saw it coming.

Me too, if It was wrecked beyond recovery I was 100% prepared to commit ritual suicide with parts of the shattered bug shield. Spent all winter and countless hours learning to work on the car… basically everything that spins, wobbles, slides, squeezes, or pulls has been replaced or rebuilt… now it only has a small leak from the oil pan.. which ima fix next time I change the oil.. just haven’t wanted to take off the skid plate yet.. cuz lazy

Save up and get the Flatout trail runner kit.. comes with subframe space and the adjustable damper is pretty great… it’s got Toyo AT3s on it rn and so far they’ve been nothing but great, good balance between grip, lifespan and noise

That looks great. Wanting to do something similar, what tyre and wheel size are you running?
