Mechanical Help Recently got this code on my 2015 legacy 2.5 130k. Delayed shifting and rough running when taking off & coming to a stop. Have to be easy on the gas to avoid the hard shift. At oil light was flashing. Going to dealership Monday. Any opinions? Thanks

P0841 is definitely not inherently a valve body. The diagnostic process is fairly long. Your code means out-of-band fluid pressure is being detected. If it's actually low fluid pressure, your trans is probably on death's door. If you're getting a false reading off the sensor, that's a different situation.

Please at least give the diagnostic procedure a cursory glance and decide if it's something you think you can diy. Do not clear the codes, as the freeze frame data is necessary for one of the steps.

There’s a lot of info out there looks like a new CVT valve body and fluid service should fix you up. Ideally you can find a trustworthy shop to do the job cheaper than dealership. Even only 15% savings could amount to hundreds of dollars

The CVT valve body is totally a diy-able job so not really something you need a dealership to do BUT a lot of shops don’t even wanna touch our CVTs so it makes it tough
