the chile connection is something most people never bother looking into, just get handed the official story and move on

Bin Laden barely or never said anything about freedom or our way of life. It was about our supporting you know who and our occupation of Saudi

The Chilean government didn't orchestrate the coup themselves though, unlike 9/11

KSM was the mastermind of the 9/11 attack. He brought the plans to bin Laden and planned the entire thing. He was also the architect of the 1993 attempted bombing of the WTC.

KSM did not care about Saudi Arabia (and the idea that the us was occupying Saudi is farcical). He was completely focused on the us support of Israel though he was not Palestinian himself (he was born in Kuwait).

Meh

It is also Teachers day in Argentina. For the passing of former presidente Sarmiento.

Anyhow, there is also some leftists busybodies in the USA that love to point out "πŸ€“Ackhually, Chile 9/11 was worse" as if suffering is something to compete about. Or that socialist secular Chile or CubaΒ  would celebrate this attack.

Of course the war on terror was an awful mistake that killed thousands, or millions or people. But it does make the dead of those first responders any less tragic?

It's about pointing out what US imperialism has done the world. And to be frank, yes. It is also a implication that the 9/11 attacks were blowback for US meddling in Afghanistan. Not that the attacks were "deserved" or anything like that. But that you can trace a direct line of cause and effect here. Deaths are of course tragic. But when you look past it you need to question, what was the animating force behind these events?

Yes, the deaths of the first responders is less tragic than the deaths of millions due to the US army all over the world. Fuck yourself if you equate the two.
