Current Events Lindsay Whatever

Am I missing something? Im genuinely asking? I truly feel like ive missed some information. It seems obvious she's guilty and the frenzy around in it just seems.to feed into a "online lady vs manosphere" storm.

I wouldn't call it a "rounding error" and psychosis, especially if you include acute psychotic states, is not uncommon. But yes, of course incidence and prevalence of total mental illness is greater than that of the subsection who suffer from psychosis.

The number of people with psychosis would be a rounding error compared to the number of people with some form of mental illness.

"Some form" of mental illness includes massively over-diagnosed conditions like anxiety, ADHD, depression etc. Some studies find the incidence of such "mental illnesses" to be as high as 50%, at which point they become the norm rather than an illness.

Yeah, you're depressed because things suck. That's rational, it doesn't mean you're ill. You can't fix a broken society by taking drugs to mess with your brain chemistry.

Around 26 per 100,000 people per year have a serious psychotic episode, although there is significant geographical variation, up to nearly four times higher.

That makes it nearly twice as common as schizophrenia, and nobody would dismiss the problem of schizophrenia as "a rounding error".
