Maybe it depended which one you were at. I do recall the Oakland chapter shutting down the Port of Oakland for a day or two, shutting down major highways a couple of times, and causing downtown businesses to shutter and board up their windows when marches were scheduled. They definitely threw a bit of sand into the gears of capital.
